From Monna Lisa to Monet

This is a Private discovery of the greatest masterpieces of the Louvre and Orsay Museums. We will touch base with the classical art going to through Leonardo Da Vinci until the revolutionary group of artists famously known as the Impressionists!

At the Louvre we will focus on: -the history of the building -the Roman & Greek Sculptures (including Venus of Milo and Winged Victory of Samothrace) -the Italian Paintings (Veronese, Monna Lisa and other Leonardo's) -French Paintings (Napoleon's Coronation, Liberty Leading People and Raft of Medusa) At the Orsay: -introduction to history of the Museum -French paintings made by Manet, Millet and Courbet -Impressionism movement with paintings made by Monet, Renoir, Degas Cezanne -Room dedicated to Van Gogh We will learn about the Impressionism movement, the symbolism behind the paintings and the scandals some of the masterpieces provoked.
