My chers amis, Bonjour and welcome to Paris! Paris is a fabulous city justly described as an international capital of fashion, gastronomy, romance, art and so on. My personal love story with Paris started when I first visited France being a law student from Saint Petersburg taking part in « Chantiers bénévoles », a volunteer project consisting in a restoration of a medieval castle in the South of France. I found almost immediately that French history, heritage and people are so interesting, that I should move here forever. So, I came to France, studied history and art and obtained a diploma which enabled me to receive my official tour guide license (« carte de guide-conférencier ») in 2013. Since that, I really appreciate being a professional guide. From my childhood, I love to spend time in museums with their particulate atmosphere and charm. I love as well to share my passion for art and make the wonders of French History come alive in front of your eyes, as I take you on tour. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Montmartre is a hill in the north of Paris, which the Parisians themselves call simply "La butte" (The Hill). The hill keeps memories of the Romans' presence in Paris, Christian martyrs, Benedictine abbey, Paris Commune, of the poor, of the displaced, of those who had known suffering and deprivation, as well as of an incredibly numerous artistic community. Indeed, from 1860 to 1918 the Montmartre was Paris's most important center of creativity. At that time, cheap prices attracted here artists from different parts of Europe. Picasso, Modigliani, Van Gogh, Chagall, Renoir, Van Dongen and many others used to live on the Hill admiring its scenic vies of Paris from the top. After WWI the artist moved to Montparnasse, but the Montmartre Hill still retains an upbeat ambience that all the tourists in the world couldn't spoil.
