Thirty years ago , when I worked weekends to save up money for my university education fees , one of my passengers mentioned that I was contagiously enthusiastic giving my tours. I realized I had discovered my life's passion. Since then, I learnt a lot and enhanced my way of giving tours, tailored to the unique needs and requirements of my guests. Now, I am flexible enough to offer interesting tours adapted to all kind of travelers - private groups, seniors, corporate, students, children, professionals, families, …. And I always TRY to be cheerful, positive, rigorous, patient and thoughtful. I have traveled a lot for pleasure or for work, and have even lived abroad , but Paris has been home for the last 35 years or so. Over the years I found out that memorable travel experiences may come from visiting far-away destinations but exploring one's own neighborhood can be the best. Today, showing people my city is sheer pleasure: I welcome every visitor in the international language of respect and courtesy. My goal is to make your visit both educational and entertaining. MOMENTS ARE PRICELESS. Come and experience for yourself! What I like to do when I'm not guiding: when at home I love to cook ! Dancing is a also passion. My favorite quotes: • Paris is always a good idea " Audrey Hepburn •"People don't take trips, trips take people. " - John Steinbeck •"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. " - Helen Keller •"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. "― Mark Twain I'm looking forward to seeing you in Paris ! The Louvre is overwhelming. . . . Thousands of treasures in an outstanding building that was once a royal palace and is today the largest museum in the world. Having a professional guide with you will save you incredible time, not only to skip the line but also to find your way in its three large interconnected wings . I will help you with entrance and with the selection process: only the best in each department: Egyptian , Roman , Greek , Renaissance , XIXth century , etc. You will discover what people dont always know about the Monalisa, the Winged Victory, the Venus de Milo, Liberty guiding the People, the Sphynx, etc. , in other words the top highlights of the Louvre . It is an unforgettable tour, more than 2000 years of art condensed into two hours of sheer pleasure. Enjoy!
After entering through the oldest part of the building , the medieval fortress moats, we will pass the Egyptian wing to look at the 4000 years old Sphinx , then stop at the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory in the Greek department, before arriving to the Leonardo Da Vincis, Raphaels , and Caravaggios on the first floor. A quick peak at famous XIXth century french paintings, before ending at Michelangelo's Slaves. Lots of other masterpieces along the way depending on the day and on the time we can afford. Architecture won't be forgotten: we will certainly cross along our way the stunning Salle des Caryatides , the apartment of Ann of Austria, and the unique roof of the newest wing of the Louvre, the Department of Islamic Art. And if you want I am happy to customize the tour for you. Please inquire for a quote.
