Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. My love for Paris is ever-growing, and I would be more than happy to share it with you! After graduating from Sorbonne University, where I studied English philology and literature, I worked as a professional translator for numerous Parisian and international translation agencies. Striving to be more in touch with other people and deepen my knowledge in history of art, I pursued my studies at the National Guides' School in Paris and the Ecole du Louvre to become a professional guide. Now, fully licensed, I am delighted to introduce you to the magic of Paris and its rich, fascinating history and outstanding architecture. Paris is truly where history is so alive that you can literally touch it. With me as your guide, you will discover Paris and gain a bucket-load of knowledge. But don't worry! There are no classes, homework, or tons of research to do here. Simply allow me to lead you through the streets of Paris - in a relaxing, easygoing, and enjoyable way! The great part is that anyone can benefit from my tours, and they are 100% family-friendly. All tours can also be tailored according to your needs and desires. What's more is that being a fully licensed guide gives me a little (huge!) advantage to skip all the crowds and queues in most of the museums and monuments! My biggest enjoyment on tours is to "crack the codes" of museum masterpieces. I connect with people individually, giving them the keys to better appreciate artworks and monuments, translating them into a language you can understand. I love seeing faces brighten with new knowledge! I mostly enjoy surprising people - and I like to be surprised myself. Paris is the perfect location for this! Are you ready to journey on your thrilling French adventure? - French Government License that enables me to guide you through all museums and monuments with priority access - no queuing here! - Degree in History of Art obtained at the School of the Louvre (École du Louvre) - Master's degree in French and English linguistics, philology, and literature.

This combined tour is a journey in time bringing to life a bigger picture of the evolution of art from Ancient times and Antiquity to Modernity and early avant-garde. Louvre and Orsay will open up for you the treasures and secrets of the world's most stunning art collections. It is a great way to discover them both within the context of French history. You will enjoy such masterpieces as Mona Lisa, the Venus of Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace and Victory leading the people but also Manet's Luncheon on the Grass, Monet's Poppy Fields as well as Van Gogh's Starry Night over the Rhone. . . and many more! I can customize this tour according to your requests and inspirations! A lunch will take place in between the tours (picnic at the Tuileries gardens is an option). Note: tour is possible on any day of the week except Sunday (guides are not allowed on Sunday in Orsay), Monday and Tuesday.
We will meet at the Statue of Louis XIV in front of the Louvre pyramid or another agreed location. We'll enter the Louvre and discover : - Miedival Louvre fortress - Venus of Milo - Victory of Samothrace - Mona Lisa and Saint by Leonardo Da Vinci - The wedding at Cana by Veronese - Coronation of Napoleon etc. We will then have lunch at the Tuileries gardens. Walk for abot 10 minutes and enter the Orsay museum where you will discover: - The luncheon on the grass by Manet - A Burial at Ornans by Courbet - Poppy fields by Claude Monet - Art of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec - Bal du Moulin de la Galette by Renoir - Cézanne and the revolution of still life - Van Gogh and his Starry night over the Rhone And a few more amazing paintings and sculptures.
