Hello dear travelers, my name is Danny. I've worked about 6 years in travel agencies organizing tours around Ecuador and now I've been working for the past 7 years as a freelance guide. I have extensive knowledge guiding on the 4 different regions of Ecuador (coast, mountains, jungle, and Galapagos Islands), I believe experience is one of the best factors in tourism in order to offer the best service and reach out the goal that are the smile and welfare of my passengers. Besides being a tour guide I maintain a constant qualification in ecological and anthropological subjects. I am convinced tourism is the best way to build bridges of respect and brotherhood among cultures. I have had the opportunity to lead groups of different and varied interests all over the country. One of the hobbies that I have is the practice of hiking and trekking around my country. The geography of my country is one of the most difficult ones, because we live surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. I would really be very excited to show you the riches of one of the most biodiverse countries in America. -National Tourism Guide Degree issued by Tegnologico de Turismo y Hoteleria Internacional ITHI. Located just 67 Km (40 miles) east of Quito, Papallacta town is an approximately 1 hour drive from the city. The route to reach Papallacta is the same that was taken by the Spanish conquistador Francisco de Orellana in 1542 as he crossed the Andes mountain range upon discovering the Amazon and Amazon river. At an altitude of 3. 300 meters (10. 824 feet) above sea level, Papallacta is located at the humid upper montane rainforest, and the weather is humid and cold. Precisaly this weather is what makes the hot springs more appeling.
This is a sample itinerary; - We will start at 08h00 from Quito and drive towards the east. - At 09h00 approx we will arrive to Papallacta. - At 09h15 we will begin hiking around the forest to know more about plants, trees and birds of the area. - Then at 10h30 it's time for a visit to the hot springs. - We will take a break at 13h30 for lunch time. - At 15h00 approx. we will start the journey back to Quito. - 16h30 is the approximate time of return to your hotel or accommodation in Quito. This tour can be customized, please use the 'message guide' button to contact me about this.
