Hello! I’m Mauro, born and raised in the beautiful city of Quito. To me, being a tour guide is more than just a job; it’s about welcoming new friends and helping them unravel the soul of my country. Whether it's through our architecture, the flavors of our traditional food, the magic of our legends, or the intricate history, I’ll help you understand the 'why' behind our vibrant culture. With a background in Ecotourism Engineering and a Master’s in Cultural and Natural heritage Management, I combine 8 years of professional experience with a deep love for sharing knowledge. I specialize in soft adventures and off-the-beaten-path experiences for small groups. My goal is simple: show you the iconic highlights you can't miss in Quito or the surrounding areas, but also the hidden gems that we locals cherish with a touch of adventure. Let's step away from the crowds and discover the authentic Ecuador together.

Discover the best of Quito’s culture and relaxation on this full-day experience. Begin with a guided walking tour through Quito’s UNESCO-listed Historic Center, where you’ll explore colonial landmarks, vibrant plazas, and stunning churches, learn about the city’s history, and taste some of its local flavors. Then, unwind at the Papallacta Hot Springs, nestled in the Andean mountains, and soak in natural thermal pools while enjoying breathtaking views. A perfect blend of history, nature, and rejuvenation.
- Our journey begins with a private pickup from your hotel, heading straight to the Basilica del Voto Nacional a neo gothic masterpiece offering some of the most breathtaking views over the Old Town. - From there, we’ll dive into the heart of the city via La Calle de las Siete Cruces, uncovering the secrets of colonial life in Quito. - We then reach Plaza Grande, the city's vibrant political and historic soul, surrounded by some important buildings. - After soaking in the local energy, we’ll wander through narrow colonial streets to the iconic San Francisco Square. Amidst stunning architecture, we will pause to savor premium Ecuadorian chocolate bars. - We leave the city behind and ascend the Eastern Andes. We will cross the Papallacta Pass at an impressive 4,063 meters (13,330 ft), where on clear days the volcanoes reveal themselves in all their glory. - Arrival at the Papallacta thermal baths, where you’ll have some time to unwind in the medicinal volcanic waters before our return to Quito.

For your comfort, we will travel in a well-maintained 2014 Renault Duster SUV, perfect for navigating the city and Andean terrain. In the Old Town, we will transition to a leisurely walking tour, exploring the charming pedestrian streets and hidden gems of Quito's historic center at your own pace.
