Hi, my name is David and I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. I have a university degree in Ecology and tourism and over 16 years ago I started working as a naturalist guide in the lodges located in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rain forest. However, nowadays, I guide everywhere in Ecuador! During all my years working as a guide, I have been learning more about Ecuador, not only about nature but also about the history & culture of my country and the indigenous groups that inhabited it. Due to my work I also got the chance to explore and travel to several sites and destinations inside Ecuador so I have added those special visits to my tours. I have guided groups as well as independent travelers coming from many parts of the world, which allowed me to know firsthand the needs and requirements of the different guests visiting this country. Some of my hobbies come handy with my work as a guide, and gave me a plus in my job such as: photography of fauna and nature, bird watching and trekking. Currently I am working as a TBL Tour Guide and I have been doing it since 2017 enjoying it very much. With this new situation of the pandemic I kept myself learning more about art and culture of Quito and Ecuador and I am preparing all my tours to go according to my client's requests. My tours range from City Tours of the Old Town in Quito, to day trips and circuits to the surrounding areas of Quito and around the country. From the Amazon Rainforest and through the Andes. Plus all the itineraries can be customized to meet your needs. I look forward to seeing you in Quito and Ecuador! David National Tourist Guide Licence provided by the Ministry of Tourism in Ecuador. I have training and experience in Bird watching Basic Ecuadorian geology training First Aids training

Venture into one of Ecuador’s most stunning natural sanctuaries—Antisana Ecological Reserve, just under two hours from Quito. This private mountain adventure takes you deep into the Andean highlands, home to extraordinary wildlife and dramatic landscapes. We’ll hike through this pristine ecosystem in search of the majestic Andean Condor—one of the largest flying birds on Earth—as well as the elusive Andean Bear, foxes, white-tailed deer, and a dazzling variety of birds, including high-altitude hummingbirds. While sightings can't be guaranteed, every moment in this untouched reserve is a chance to connect with nature. This is one of the best spots to experience wildlife in Ecuador’s tropical Andes, with all animals roaming free in their natural habitat. Our tour strictly follows TBL’s animal welfare policies, ensuring a respectful and responsible encounter with the wild.
We’ll depart from your hotel in Quito and head east toward the stunning Antisana Ecological Reserve. Along the way, we’ll make several scenic stops to search for Andean Condors and other wildlife. Upon arrival at La Mica Lake, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the páramo—a unique Andean grassland—while learning about its vital role in Ecuador’s ecosystem and water cycle. After our nature exploration, we’ll enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant just outside the reserve. We’ll then begin our return to Quito, arriving by mid-afternoon. Optional experience: For a deeper cultural connection, you can join the Andean cowboys—Chagras—for a horseback ride through the highlands. This activity is available at an additional cost and must be reserved in advance.
