Avenue of the Volcanoes

Day 1 Día Volcán Cotopaxi. Our first stop is the Caspi control, where we have to register with the passport numbers. Then we continue in the car until we reach the parking lot at 4600 meters above sea level, from this point we will make a trek to the refuge at 4800 meters above sea level. Then we drive around 2 hours to arrive to Posada de Tigua. Suggested Hotel in Quilotoa: Posada de Tigua Day 2 Quilotoa Lagoon Our first stop will be Tigua where the local community makes masks in wood and paint paintings in sheepskins. We passed through the town of Zumbahua and reached the Crater del Quilotoa at 4, 000 meters above sea level. From here we start the journey towards the lagoon located at 3, 500 masl, here you can kayak. Then we drive around 2 hours to arrive to Riobamba. Suggested Hotel in Riobamba: Day3 Chimborazo Volcano. We arrive at the first Chimborazo refuge located at 4851 m, from where the 1 km walk begins to the Condor Cocha lagoon (5080 m) passing through the Whymper refuge. Return to Quito
