Antisana Ecological Reserve Tour - Full day

Antisana is the fourth highest snowcapped volcano in Ecuador. Because of its location and singular history, this area has been preserved almost untouched, without many visitors, for several centuries. For this reason it is possible to observe condors, eagles and other wild birds easier than in any other protected reserve or national park. I will loan you high quality Nikon binoculars. With just a little bit of luck we will be able to also see birds like curiquingues, Andean gulls, paramo pipit, and black faced ibis. Also, we probably will see mammals such as the white tail deer, rabbits, Andean mice and, with much more luck, the Andean wolf or the spectacle bear. This 230, 000 acres reserve contains 40% of Quito's water. It is a wonderful ecosystem with unique flora. We will hike a couple of hours, less if you want, and later I will take you to lunch in one of the local, trout speciality restaurants. Price quoted is for up to 3 people.
