Hi, my name is David and I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. I have a university degree in Ecology and tourism and over 16 years ago I started working as a naturalist guide in the lodges located in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rain forest. However, nowadays, I guide everywhere in Ecuador! During all my years working as a guide, I have been learning more about Ecuador, not only about nature but also about the history & culture of my country and the indigenous groups that inhabited it. Due to my work I also got the chance to explore and travel to several sites and destinations inside Ecuador so I have added those special visits to my tours. I have guided groups as well as independent travelers coming from many parts of the world, which allowed me to know firsthand the needs and requirements of the different guests visiting this country. Some of my hobbies come handy with my work as a guide, and gave me a plus in my job such as: photography of fauna and nature, bird watching and trekking. Currently I am working as a TBL Tour Guide and I have been doing it since 2017 enjoying it very much. With this new situation of the pandemic I kept myself learning more about art and culture of Quito and Ecuador and I am preparing all my tours to go according to my client's requests. My tours range from City Tours of the Old Town in Quito, to day trips and circuits to the surrounding areas of Quito and around the country. From the Amazon Rainforest and through the Andes. Plus all the itineraries can be customized to meet your needs. I look forward to seeing you in Quito and Ecuador! David National Tourist Guide Licence provided by the Ministry of Tourism in Ecuador. I have training and experience in Bird watching Basic Ecuadorian geology training First Aids training

This tour is a combination of Nature and Culture with the local people of the Amazon region. During these 5 days, we will road trip through the tropical rainforest, discovering amazing and unique sites while enjoying the local food, flora, and fauna—and, of course, interacting with the locals. Highlights are abundant on this tour: the cooking class with the community, learning about the wildlife in the rescue center, and the hot springs at the end of the tour. We have a great diversity of activities to enjoy the most of this tour. So get ready, and let's travel together through the upper Amazon of Ecuador! This tour can be modified to shorten it or extend it.
Quito–Tena We travel from the Andes to the Amazon, arriving in Tena for our first night. Along the way, we'll visit some of Ecuador's best hot springs and enjoy lunch at a fantastic hummingbird spot. We arrive at our lodge in the afternoon. Full Day Amazon We'll visit a black-water lake, taking a canoe ride while bird watching and spotting monkeys. We'll continue to a community for a traditional Amazon cooking class and spend the day there. Full Day Amazon A day of hiking and exploring the Amazon region, including unique caves. Return to the Highlands After breakfast, we head to Puyo to visit a wildlife rescue center and see native species. We'll have lunch in town, then continue along the waterfall route with stops before arriving in Baños. Baños to Quito A flexible day. Enjoy Baños and activities like zip-lining, the treehouse, or a spa—or visit Cotopaxi National Park before returning to Quito. This tour can be modified to shorten it or extend it.
