Tour in the Andes. 5 days of nature and culture in Ecuador

This tour focus in the best of the Ecuadorian Andes; We will departure from Quito City, the capital of the Ecuador, towards Cuenca City, considered the Athens of Ecuador, another "not to miss" Unesco site in Ecuador. We will enjoy the culture of the Andean people but also some important nature sites. We will enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the Andes, the National Parks, the local people and little towns. We will watch and enjoy the local wildlife that moves free in the mountains and we will learn a lot more about the culture of local people in the highlands. This tour has a highlight for every taste. If you are a nature lover, we definitely will enjoy what the National Parks have to offer and if you like culture we will interact with local people to learn their culture. All the sites we will visit are highlights, however, to visit the highest point in the planet, Chimborazo Volcano and the local markets full of colors an and life are some of the highlights.

D1 We leave Quito city in the morning to the south of Ecuador. Our stops: a rose plantation, with some of the best quality roses in Ecuador, a hacienda where we will have the chance to enjoy a construction, hundreds of years old, from the Inca time, the visit of the house of an indigenous painter and learn the traditional technic of painting on sheepskin. Arrival to Riobamba. D2 Visit the highest point on earth, the Chimborazo Volcano. If we get the chance, we will visit one indigenous markets. Lunch in the area and return to Riobamba in the afternoon. If time permits, we will have a small tour of the city D3 We could visit one of the local markets in the area of Riobamba. Stop in the first catholic church of Ecuador, lunch in a small town, Alausí, and visit the Inca ruins of Ingapirca. D4 Cuenca city D5 Visit the valleys surrounding Cuenca or the Cajas National Park. We return to Cuenca after lunch. On this day, you must reserve your flight back to Quito or Guayaquil
