Hej! Discover Copenhagen with me, an authorized guide with over 10 years of experience in the industry. My name is Lavinia, I was born and raised in Italy, but moved to Denmark in 2014. When I first came here I was an outsider looking in, as you are perhaps, and I would love to guide you in understanding this wonderful country. Copenhagen is known for its fairytale atmosphere, and together we will discover its history, from a Viking kingdom, to the modern country that it is today. I particularly love modern architecture and city planning, as well as royal history and visiting museums. A little bit about me - I was born in Italy and I have always loved traveling and experiencing new cultures. After finishing my studies in Italy, I moved to Copenhagen and I made it my home. I started working with the tourism industry in 2016, as a guide for cruise ship guests, and I quickly realized that I loved learning about the history of my adoptive country and sharing it with my guests! In 2020 I obtained my diploma for becoming a licensed tour guide in Denmark from Roskilde University. Since then I've been working with my own company "Copenhagen with Lavinia", catering to all types of clients from big groups, company trips, to individual travelers and families. Overview of your Copenhagen tour
This walking tour is the perfect introduction to your holiday in Copenhagen! Over the course of 3 hours, we will walk alongside the inner harbor, and we'll discover together why it really is the beating heart of Copenhagen. We'll explore the history of the city from its beginnings as a small port town, to the beautiful international capital that it is today. We'll have a chance to admire the old architecture from the 17th century, as well as the most modern buildings and their amazing Scandinavian architecture. This is personally, my favorite walk in Copenhagen, I love the harbor!
Your Copenhagen tour itinerary
This walking tour hits all the major spots in Copenhagen, following the main harbor, we will see Royal Library, Christiansborg castle, the Danish Parliament, the must-see Nyhavn canal, the Royal Playhouse Theater, Amalienborg castle where King Frederik lives, the Gefion fountain, and of course the most famous lady in Copenhagen - the Little Mermaid. If you want I can take you back towards the city center, passing through the ancient fortress the Citadel, and ending near Nyhavn. The itinerary is quite flexible, for any changes please let me know.
