Overview of your Zagreb tour:

Zagreb is a different capital than any other European. This is an old city famous for its open streets and squares, where everyone is friendly and set in an easygoing mode. Most of its residents are spending some time in coffee bars as a center of social life. Such a way of life is happening behind every corner. I will uncover some daily-life secrets for you with a few useful hints. But there are many such corners inside its stone walls waiting to be discovered. Since the 10th cent. , many historical events happened, leaving behind lots of traditional city symbols. Zagreb is today an underrated capital and with help of my travel and guiding experiences from around the world, I will extract the best from its hidden shadows while on tour. During this half-day long tour, I will teach you also some basic Croatian words that will help you later while wandering alone. Did you know that Croats do not call their country Croatia, but . . . ? Thus . . . come in, step into my world of stories and explore my Zagreb!

The highlight is the open Dolac market, where we may taste the best world cheese from island Pag and try popular traditional heavy quick eatery from the pastry. - Under the ground walk inside the tunnels from WW2. Here we board the shortest funicular in the world, riding up the hill to the Gradec. - Gradec (13. cent. ) known as the administrative center of Croatia. Inside an old city tower of Lotrscak, we will attend a daily cannon fire ceremony. On popular Tkalciceva st. we could have a coffee break or drink beer from an old local microbrewery. - Lowlands area (19. cent. ) known as modern Zagreb. Yep, we will explore the newest area as well. - Back to your hotel. To be efficient with your time and for your comfort and delight, we may switch the order of visiting these locations to avoid crowded areas.
