Hi everyone! I see you are looking at my profile. That's a good start :) Let me introduce myself. You can say that I practically derive from tourism. For the last 16 years I have been actively working as a licensed local guide, driver-guide, receptionist and certified adventure guide (kayaking, hiking and cycling). In addition I have studied tourism and got my masters degree in the same field. Overview of your Zagreb tour
Leave the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle behind you and and join me on exploring one of the most beautiful National Parks in the world. I have been there more than 1000x so you can put your trust in me to make this experience amazing! On your way to Plitvice Lakes we will visit Rastoke, a village famous for its watermills. I would say, a great place to stretch our legs and soak in the "watery" atmosphere. Before we enter the park you will decide which level of activity suits you best and together we will tailor the tour accordingly. In the park you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the waterfalls and 16 interconnected emerald lakes and the flora and fauna surrounding them. I sure am! :) I love cooking and preparing food so I will share that passion with you by setting up a small picnic with some homemade specialties from my families farm. As the sun sets, finish your day with a relaxing drive, casual atmosphere, friendly chatter, and memories for a lifetime!
Your Zagreb tour itinerary
In the morning hours you will get picked up at your accommodation in Zagreb. During the 1. 5 hour drive to our first stop we will get to know each other pretty well and of course I will share interesting stories about the history of the region. First stop will be Rastoke village for a short break (30 min) and some beautiful photo opportunities. Once we reach the National Park (additional 30 min drive) you will be given an overview of the trails and choose your own activity level. Depending on the level you choose, we will spend 2-6 hours in the park. We can always play it by ear and adjust during the tour itself. In the park we will explore the Lower and the Upper Lakes (depending on the season some parts might be closed). At one point we will take a short break to enjoy some of the homemade specialties that I have brought from my family run farm. Once we finish the tour of the park you will be driven back to Zagreb (approx. 2 hour). *this tour can be customized by cheese tasting or a traditional lunch
