Plitvice Lakes is the most visited national park in Croatia. And. . . no wonder it is! Within roughly 300 km2 you can find everything you need for a perfect getaway from traffic and a busy city. Join me on this tour and explore the beauty of this National Park. We will spend roughly 3 hours in the Park, walking. If you are looking to take some great photos, I know some hidden spots! Every good story has an intro and so does our Plitvice adventure. On the way to Plitvice, we will have a quick stop at Rastoke Ethno village. With its well-preserved mills and picturesque little waterfalls Rastoke Ethno village, often referred to as 'Little Plitvice', it makes a great place to prepare yourself for the magnificence of Plitvice Lakes National Park.
We had a great tour with Ella (and Tommy). She was knowledgeable, friendly, and perfectly paced the day so we could take in the stunning scenery without feeling rushed. She had a lot of knowledge of the lakes and plenty of stories to share. A pretty drive from Zagreb to our first stop at a charming mill village with waterfalls. We arrived at Plitvice Lakes in the middle of a rain squall but Ella was prepared with umbrellas. The rain didn't last long and we had beautiful cool weather to enjoy the walk around the lakes. The waterfalls were in full thunder after recent rains. Ella took us to two "secret" lookout points high up where we had a complete view of the lakes and the falls. Just spectacularly beautiful!
