Total Zagreb tour

Very good guide! She did her best to please us! High level of information.

Tihana is a wonderful, warm, thoughtful, extremely smart guide with a terrific sense of humor. She is also an incredibly flexible guide as we explored the city of Zagreb. Tihana and our driver, Kris, took us around the parts of town we had not seen before - beautiful buildings, parks, academic institutions -  with a background and history of their origins. What a stately city with great character. We started our walking tour with the view of a beautiful church with a colorful tiled roof of the Croatia coat of arms,  and were introduced to unique museums we would explore on another day. We were awed by Zagreb's huge ornate cemetery with its domed buildings and vast grounds marked with black marble headstones and kiosks. We were interested in the history of the Jewish population of Zagreb. Tihana was expert on the story of this  section of the cemetery, the political and religious divisions of the country. Wow! What an eye opener. We stopped for a coffee and a recap before riding the funicular to the lower city which was lots of fun and reduced walking.  Tihana surprised us with a golf cart ride waiting for us to see the lively shopping area and main squares - again saving us steps to make our tour easier. At the end of our tour we stopped at one of Tihana's favorite local spots for a great lunch. We talked and talked about all we learned about the capital city of Croatia. We highly recommend touring with Tihana!

Tihana made the one day we had in Zagreb special. It was a rare rainy day, but (after realizing that we only had the one day) she modified the tour to make the best of it. Of course seeing the main sites in Zagreb was great, but what we enjoyed most was talking with Tihana and hearing her perspective on life in Zagreb/Croatia and its recent history. She also provided great recommendations (e.g., restaurants) for both before and after our tour (which included other parts of Croatia we were visiting). Tihana definitely helped us enjoy and make the most of our time in Zagreb!

Tihanna did a very nice job showing us around her city. She is knowledgeable about both history and the current culture, and speaks excellent English. She also gave us great restaurant recommendations, which we very much appreciated.
