Hello, My name is Hrvoje Dario. I'm of the Northern Croatia, and local of Zagreb and Varazdin. I've been working as a tour guide for a number of years now, guiding to every part of Croatia, as well as other countries in the region, such as Bosnia, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Austria. Beside stories and information, the four things I put the highest emphasis when guiding travelers are safety, respect, care and comfort. Travelers should always feel safe and comfortable, while being treated with care and respect. Being a traveler myself, I am well aware of the significance of a travel and the effect it has on us and those around us. In my free time I like to read, write, go to nature, visit interesting places, reading articles and books on history, psychology, anthropology, meditation, astronomy, sustainability. My travels have so far taken me across five continents; some journeys being in the Middle East, the Americas, South and Southeast Asia, North Africa, Europe etc. Beside having various other benefits, such travels have also exposed me to the work of international tour guides, which gave me insights into improving my own guiding tours. It is important to me that the travelers I guide feel relaxed and enjoy every moment of it, and to have a memorable experience. I also aim that you experience my country not just as a tourist, but rather to see how things are here, to get an understanding of its everyday life, and perhaps to even feel like a local. If you are interested in coming to Croatia and explore it with a guide, feel free to contact me. I've finished tour guide course and am licensed to guide in Varazdin and Zagreb counties as a tour guide, and all over Croatia and surrounding countries as a tour leader. I've specialized in tourism branch by finishing the Zagreb School of Management (current VERN) back in 2007.

In this day trip to the region in the part of Croatia known as Zagorje, we will see some of the best things that this beautiful hilly region of Croatia can provide. Zagorje is most known for its hills, vineyards, castles, traditional houses, and easygoing folks, and on our way through it we will see how life here is like as we explore Orsic castle, Franciscan monastery and library, Kumrovec traditional village (the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito) and Veliki Tabor castle. On the way an option is to stop for some wine tasting, as this region is famous for varieties of wine.
- visiting the Orsic castle in Gornja Stubica, which hosts the Peasant revolt museum - visiting the town of Klanjec - a village most known for its 17th century church with gorgeous baroque frescoes and the Franciscan monastery with old library and valuable sarcophagus of Erdody family. - Continuing on, we reach Kumrovec - Tito's birthplace village. It's a beautiful village with houses from the end of the 19th century, set in a mesmerizing landscapes of hills and meadows. - visiting the Veliki Tabor castle in Desinic, one of the most representative medieval fort-castles in this region. - depending on time and your interest, we can include in somewhere along the way the wine tasting experience, as Zagorje is the land rich with vineyards and high quality wine.
