Overview of your Rio De Janeiro tour

We will go directly to the Chinese view, driving up the forest, to visit this iconic sight of the city. The Chinese view is a Pagoda monumento, built to honor the Chinese immigrants that came to Rio around 200 years ago. After this we will stop at the emperor's table, a picnic área, where the king Peter II, used to wonder the wonderful view of Rio and have some snacks. Later we are heading to the Taunay waterfall, a natural waterfall of the Tijuca river in the middle of the forest. Done with the Forest we will go to the famous Botanical Gardens, built in 1808, by the Portuguese king John 6. Amazing species of plants and trees from all over the world and specially the collection of bromels and a fabulous orchidery. I became a tour guide because I love to show and introduce my home town to travellers and tell them the history of my city and my favorite part of tours, of course, is when I find people very interested about our history. Don't miss this tour. I am already waiting for you!

Carlos made for a great tour experience from beginning (booking) to the end. He was quick to communicate during the booking and followed up through the day of the tour. For the tour, he picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable car (for 4 people) and we stopped at the major sites where Carlos provided good details. If it helps plan for the trip, there is a minimum amount of walking (this is mostly a driving tour) and either wear pants/long sleeves or buy mosquito spray. Overall, a very relaxing, comfortable, and nicely paced tour. {Thank you Carlos)

Carlos was an outstanding guide from start to finish. He was responsive as we got closer to the tour and needed to make some changes. He met us at the ship and the next 4 hours were so enjoyable. Carlos is the best. While we didn't get to go to some of our tour destinations due to road blockages for Carnival, Carlos did his best to find alternatives. Because he lived in New Jersey for awhile, he speaks good English. We very much enjoyed the tour and recommend Carlos 100%.

Carlos is a great tour guide. He drove is in a clean comfortable car. He parked in places to provide us the least walking. He walked with us through the forest and gardens, and explained what we were seeing. He took our picture for us. He picked us up promptly and returned us to the port on time. We recommend Carlos.
