Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, the city of wonders!!! My name is Bernard Moraes, I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. I have also lived in Montreal and Buzios, known as the St Tropez of Brazil. I majored in Business Administration and Psychology is on the final year of my academic pursuit. I have been working in tourism for more than 15 years. I love hosting people from all over the world and showing you my city. Tourism for me is having new life experiences. It can be discovering a new place and culture in different ways, trying local food, visiting places only the locals know, or learning the local ways of life. I’m not the kind of guide that fill your precious time with generic touristic experiences, I want to share with you the authentic Brazilian culture and customized an itinerary with the attractions you want to see, prioritized by best timing, safety, and pleasant enjoyment. I offer private tours from 1-12 people max. Depending on your group size and preference, I can be your driver guide with my own Honda Fit 2014, or use a professional driver and van. This is the perfect tour to attend your wishes while you are visiting Rio, whatever they are! If you want to visit some specific attractions, if you just want to see the highlights, or even if you have no idea of what to do because it's your first time in the city. I was born and raised in Rio, so, besides the highlights, I ll be happy to show you some of my favorite places and invite you to do the things I do in my free time: hanging around and having lunch in Santa Teresa or Urca neighbour; visit the amazing Tijuca Forest, having a light hiking to "Taunay" waterfall and enjoy the great view from "Vista Chinesa", see the hangliders flying etc. In this tour you will be able to save and optimize your time, enjoying the attractions at your own pace. As a local, I know the good routes to avoid traffic and I will also create the best itinerary and logistic according to your interests. This was an amazing day! We loved having Bernard take us around the city. We felt safe and he shared things about the city we never would have learned. We went to a great lunch spot with views as well! I would highly recommend the tour and the tour guide! We highly recommend touring Rio with Bernard. He is super knowledgeable about Brazilian culture and history. He made our time together very enjoyable and pleasant. We had just arrived in Rio the day before after 24 hours of travel and were still pretty stressed. Bernard was the right tonic to get us into vacation mode. Itinerary is according to your interests, just let me know what you would like to see and your priorities, then I ll make a special itinerary for you. My suggestion is: 1- Starting the tour visiting Christ, I ll pick you up at 7:20 then we ll be one of the firts. We can either take the tram or the van 2- We ll drive along Santa Teresa, a picturesque and bucolic district where we ll have some good views and we can also have a light walking in the main area. 3- Next stop is the famous Lapa steps, a colorful steps decorated by tiles from all over the world 4- We can end the tour at Sugar Loaf, or, as it is an easy attraction to visit on your own, I can show you Downtown and its attractions as the Cathedral, Real Gabinete Português, Colombo restaurant and Cinelândia square. Other places to see: - Tijuca Forest (Taunay waterfall + light hiking) - Chinease View - Parque Lage - Pedra Bonita (hangliding ramp) - Maracanã stadium - Urca distric - Etnias Mural - São Bento church

A confortable and air-conditioned car (Honda Fit 2014) will be used for your transportation. We ll also walk to visit the attractions and explore some areas.
