Bruno and his driver were prompt and met us at the hotel early. Since it was cloudy, we started the day going up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car. Next, we headed to the Lapa Neighborhood where we walked the Selaron Steps and the Carioca Aqueduct Arches. We then toured the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Sebastian. He then took us to see the beautiful Theater. We went to lunch at Fontana for a delicious Brazilian buffet. Despite the clouds, we had a magnificent time going up to see the Christ the Redeemer statue. Although clouds blocked the view below, they took us to another view of Rio from another site in Tijuca National Park. Bruno guaranteed that we were safe and that we got to see everything we desired in one day. He was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. It seemed like he knew everybody in Rio.

Christ statue, Sugarloaf and City Tour
Overview of your Rio De Janeiro tour
This is a full-day tour for visiting the two main attractions of Rio: Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf mountain. We will start the tour going to the top of Corcovado mountain (2329 ft) by cogwheel train for visiting the Christ statue. Your tour guide will be responsible to make reservation for the train tickets. After visiting the Christ statue we usually go to Downtown for a city tour (check the 2 options in the itinerary) and lunch. After lunch , we will take the cable car for visiting the Sugarloaf (1299 ft). Bruno was an excellent guide. He speaks great English and was very knowledgeable of the history and sites of Rio de Janeiro. He showed up early to the airport and had a driver waiting for us. He was full of insightful anecdotes of the city and seem to know everyone at the different sites we went to. The Christ statue is definitely a must see! Bruno went out of his way to accommodate our tight time frame, packing in as much as possible before having the driver take us back to the airport. Bruno even walked into the airport with us and carried our luggage and took us right to the security line so we wouldn't get lost. Bruno went above and beyond and my wife and I highly recommend him for any tour of Rio de Janeiro.
