Apart from Its original architecture, there are some authentic shops from local artists, and is possible to taste the Brazilian cheese bread and the Açai berry juice. Selarón Steps is the most beautiful stairs in Rio, a stunning piece of art made by the Chilean plastic artist Jorge Selarón. After I will show you The Metropolitan San Sebastian Cathedral At last Sugar Loaf The ride up on the cable car is breathtaking and the view is just unforgettable. Marcos was fabulous. Special treatment everywhere we went, car very comfortable for 5 of us. Happy to change our itinerary based on requests. Easy communication and lovely personality. First time using Tours by Locals and it exceeded our expectations!
If you want to feel like you're getting the VIP treatment, book Marcos! He knows exactly where to go and where to stand in line so you get the best seats on the train. He picked us up at our AirBnB and we had an incredible day. He even took us to a little shop with what he said was the best pao de queijo (we agree!) and we also had the acai there that was the best we had. It was incredible! After Sugarloaf, we mentioned that we'd like a little snack, and he asked if we had heard of pastels (we had, they're kind of like fried empanadas) and he took us to a little place that was the best according to Anthony Bourdain. Eating them, with a can of cold coke, on the waterfront was the perfect ending to an exceptional day. The next time I hear someone is going to Rio, I would tell them to book Marcos!
Marcos is SPECTACULAR!!!! We used him last year and strongly recommend him if you want to see Rio. Marcos is extremely flexible, and will adjust to your needs. My wife had a knee problem, he just adjusted, but ALL of us still had a great tour. Thank you Marcos.
