I am so grateful we found Guil for our tour! This was the best decision I made while planning our vacation. We only had 2 days in Rio and wanted to maximize our time, so hired Guil to take our family for the day. There were 6 of us, including 3 children ages 7, 9, and 11. We all really enjoyed Guil’s company. His communication before the tour was great - he told me which tickets to buy in advance and I felt very prepared for our day. His English is outstanding. The actual tour was incredible. We felt like VIP’s going around with Guil. He knows everyone in Rio!! We went in August, so not a high tourist season, but Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer were still pretty crowded. Without Guil we would have spent hours in queues. But with him we breezed past the lines. He told us the best places to buy snacks and also took us to a very authentic place for lunch that was all locals. We never would have gotten that experience on our own. We were able to talk lots about politics and history on our drive around the city, and Guil provided some really interesting insights. All in all, we had a 10/10 experience. Do not hesitate to book a tour with Guil! Especially if you have kids, he is a gem of a tour guide.

Great tour. We saw all the major sights in Rio, and more than I expected. We were a family of 5 from the US. We saw Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer, we went to the famous steps, drove under the aqueduct, and went on the soccer tour stadium, all in one day. We had a great tour and saw most of Rio sights in one day. I had concerns about safety traveling around Rio based on what I had read, but I felt very safe throughout our tour.

I would give our tour guide a five star rating for this tour. Guillermo was well knowledgeable well informed and took us everywhere we wanted to go. It was a pleasure to be with him and we enjoyed every minute of it! We would certainly recommend him again in a minute.

Touring with Guilherme was a real pleasure. From the outset, communication was excellent both prior to touring and on the day. The pace of the tour was very good with plenty of time to enjoy the sites and sounds of Rio de Janeiro. Guilherme also made it very easy for me to enjoy the tour despite my physical limitations. Guilherme was fantastic! Our family of 5 from South Carolina absolutely loved spending the day with him. His car was quite comfortable and clean, and easily fit our entire family. We had two full days (8 hours each) with Guilherme and both were fantastic. We could not possibly have had a better guide. Before Guilherme I had reached out to another guide who told me that in two days we hardly do anything. When I sent Guilherme the things I wanted to see he replied immediately “no problem.” And so we did. In two full days he took us to every single thing we wanted to see in Rio, coordinating the trip so that everything was timed and integrated perfectly. Not only did we get to see everything, but inasmuch as he’s been doing this for 20 plus years he knows absolutely everything, and takes the time to point out things you wouldn’t even think of and add stops you didn’t know existed. He also took us to authentic restaurants, which was important to me, and answered my million questions. You can stop looking for a guide. Hire him. You won’t regret it. I promise.
