Tijuca Rainforest Experience

My wife and I spent a day in Rio on a cruise with another couple and booked Tatiane for a tour four or five months in advance. We had only about 7 hours between arrival and re-embarkation, so we worked with Tatiane on a custom itinerary for the day. We found her to be very knowledgeable, practical, and easy to work with. Tatiane speaks and writes English fluently and she responds to e-mails and texts promptly, so it was easy to plan our tour. Tatiane arranged for a van and a driver and picked us up at the cruise terminal where our ship was docked. Our first stop was Sugar Loaf, where Tatiane had purchased "skip the line" tickets -- which are a must at this popular and very crowded destination. Then we saw Copocabana and Epanema Beaches and had lunch at a terrific and very authentic Brazilian bistro in Epanema, where we were the only tourists. Tatiane provided interesting commentary as we drove through Rio. Everyone was very pleased with our experience in Rio and, if you are thinking of doing a tour such as ours, we would recommend Tatiane without hesitation or qualification!

5 stars aren’t enough for Tati. My wife and I asked her to take us to a “bloco” (Carnaval street festival). Of the 600 blocos, she picked one where the people were warm, friendly and welcomed us to join the dancing and parade. Tati exudes the passion and vitality of the Cariocas. Her radiant smile makes her easy to spot. She is also a talented artist, so ask to see her paintings. If you want to have fun and learn at the same time, book early because Tati’s schedule fills up quickly.
