Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, the city of wonders!!! My name is Bernard Moraes, I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. I have also lived in Montreal and Buzios, known as the St Tropez of Brazil. I majored in Business Administration and Psychology is on the final year of my academic pursuit. I have been working in tourism for more than 15 years. I love hosting people from all over the world and showing you my city. Tourism for me is having new life experiences. It can be discovering a new place and culture in different ways, trying local food, visiting places only the locals know, or learning the local ways of life. I’m not the kind of guide that fill your precious time with generic touristic experiences, I want to share with you the authentic Brazilian culture and customized an itinerary with the attractions you want to see, prioritized by best timing, safety, and pleasant enjoyment. I offer private tours from 1-12 people max. Depending on your group size and preference, I can be your driver guide with my own Honda Fit 2014, or use a professional driver and van. Come and discover the special way of life of the "cariocas" (how locals are called). Let me share with you some treasures of Rio! Overview of your Rio De Janeiro tour

This tour will allow you to enjoy the iconic Christ statue at the best way. We ll visit it early in the morning (7:20) without many tourists. We will also visit the amazing Tiuca Forest, a big urban forest with the most beautiful green areas and views of the city. Besides Tijuca Forest is not easy to visit on your own. I ll show you a few places that the other tour guides don t usually go, as the Taunay waterfall, the hangliding ramp at Pedra Bonita and even the Chinease view.

Your Rio De Janeiro tour itinerary

We ll start at 7:20 and visit Christ Redeemer at the best time. I ll tell you the history of the statue, show you the city and the best places for pictures, then let you confortable to take your time. The next attraction is the Tijuca Forest, one of the biggest urban forest in the world. We ll drive through it and have a few stops. The first will be the Chinease view, one of the best viewpoints and the only one where we can see Christ, Sugar Loaf, the lagoon and the beaches together. Afther that we ll have a light walking to see the Taunay waterfall, the biggest one in the forest. We ll walk back to the car, drive a little more and visit one of my favourite places, the hangliding ramp at Pedra Bonita mountain! On the way back to your hotel, if you are staying in Copacabana, we can drive along São Conrado, Leblon and Ipanema beaches This tour is only for weekdays, in the weekend the road to Chinease view is closed.
