Belgium is a wonderful country: come and see for yourself! Besides it will be much easier for you to find out with a passionate guide, showing you the things you want to see at your pace. Are you interested in history? Or not at all? I will focus on what you want to see and know. When I am not guiding for Toursbylocals (I started with them in August 2015) I am a guide for the official tourism office of Brussels, guiding in the City Hall, several art nouveau houses including Hotel Solvay and the Horta Museum (both Unesco Heritage), the Coudenberg Palace, several major museums including the Art and History Museum and the Royal Museum for Central Africa. I know the best addresses for beer, chocolate and/or waffles and will be glad to share this knowledge with you. My friends and colleagues say I am a passionate guide and a real expert, more a story teller than a classical guide, punctual, honest and reliable and with a good sense of humor. Moreover, I was born and raised in Brussels! I love to try the newest restaurants and pubs, so I can tell you where to go to make the most of your limited time in this amazing city. I have family members living in Ghent and Antwerp, so you can find me there quite often and if my wife and I have a day off, we love to get lost meandering through Bruges. If you want to do so yourself, let me help you to find your way back. . . Have a look at the tours I propose and please contact me for my availabilities, even when my agenda says I am not available there still can be a possibility. If there is anything I can help you with just ask. . . I am a licensed guide since 2009 and I received the award of best guide of the Africa Museum in 2010. Working as an official (full time) guide, e.g. in several mayor Belgian museums, since 2014. I have a degree in languages (Brussels University). I am fully vaccinated and boostered.

You want to know why Brussels is called the Capital of Europe and see for yourself what this does to a city. The tour includes the visit of the Parlamentarium (visitor center of the Parliament) and a walk to the heart of the institutions. We will end in the old city center and see some of the most interesting spots. If you are in for some of the finest chocolates and/or beers I will take you to some of my favorite addresses. . .
-From the station (or your hotel)we will take the subway (ticket included) to the Schuman Square : seat of the European Commission and the European Council. -From here we will be walking back in time (through the astonishing Leopold Parc with several Art Nouveau Institutions) to reach the Luxemburg Square with the Parliament and the visiting center. -After that return to the city center (subway) Please contact me for a customized tour.
