Belgium is my country. I have had the pleasure to welcome tourists to discover it for over 10 years. I have a degree in art history and I have been active as a culture journalist since 2013. I love to tell stories about Brussels and all the other Belgian cities, whether they are about their rich past or their compelling present. My passion is Belgian culture in all of its forms: art, architecture, music, but also food and local customs. I am also happy to share about what is like to live here everyday, giving a glimpse into what is beautiful about it, but also what is strange and what perhaps sets this place apart from every other one in the world. I have a lot of experience in hospitality too, helping out at hotels for years. This means that beyond a rich tour focusing on history and culture, I am also happy to help with all the practical necessities a tourist might have during a trip here. My goal is for visitors to have the greatest time Belgium has to give.

They say Brussels is boring. I say it's one of the best cities you didn't think you'd visit! I fell in love with it when I moved here from London almost fifteen years ago. I have proudly succeeded in changing people's mind about Brussels ever since. Many I've met and guided over the years told me the city has become one of their favorites. We are in the middle of Europe, in a country squeezed between the great nations of the old continent. Brussels summarizes Europe at large. Think of a time capsule you open and tells you the story of what surrounds it, its past and present. I am happy to share that with you while we walk around in the city centre and beyond. As I culture journalist, I am interested in what slips through the cracks: I believe the most important sites in Brussels need to be seen next to what is lesser known. During the tour you should expect to hear forgotten anecdotes next to the main history of the city.
Every 3-hour tour in Brussels should include the highlights of the city such as the Manneken Pis, the central square, the cathedral, and the royal square, and Sablon. Depending on how much time we have available, we can extend the tour to Atomium, the European quarter, the Royal Palace in Laeken, the Cinquantenaire Park, and more. Regardless of length and scope, I will always include in each tour lesser known sites next to the most famous highlights of Brussels. For example, I am happy to show examples of Art Nouveau architecture in the city centre, but if time allows also include the vibrant Saint Catherine neighborhood and its street art, the old port of Brussels at Tour & Taxis, Leopold Parc, etc.

We will just walk for a basic tour in the centre of Brussels. Public transportation (metro, tram, taxi) is needed for an extended tour that includes the major attractions outside the centre.

We can meet just outside Louise Metro Station, in front of the Tiffany Store.
