Brugge combines history, culture, natural beauty, and an almost surreal charm. It’s a city that will invite you to slow down, savor the moment, and truly immerse yourself in its beauty. Brugge’s architecture and historic sights are a direct reflection of its key role in the founding and development of the County of Flanders. The city’s buildings—ranging from churches and guild halls to city gates and canals—tell the story of Brugge’s rise as a powerful trading city in the Middle Ages. If we have time left, we will drive to the close-by medieval city Damme.. Damme is a hidden gem with picturesque canals, historic architecture, windmills. good food and local beers. The ideal stop-over.

She helped me see the best of both cities in a one day tour. Her services included transportation to and from my hotel in Brussels. The drive included an orientation to Belgium. She was very professional, thoughtful, and highly organized. Great communication ahead of the trip and we were able to connect on Whatsapp to finalize details a couple days before the tour.
Fantastic day out with Dorothy! This was my first time to Belgium and we headed to Bruges for the day with a small addition of Damme at the end. She was insightful and helped me understand the context of what I was seeing both historically and culturally. She was an excellent conversationalist and kept the flow going throughout the day. Bruges is a must for a tour if you visit Brussels and Dorothy was a fantastic guide. Picked us up from our Brussels apartment and thoroughly entertained us for the whole day. Ensured we had a market waffle with Belgian chocolate and a proper tasting of coconut and. Cherry beer.

To Bruges by car. Bruges has a nice car-free center and all within walkable distance. After our visit to Brugge we will drive back to Brussels- approx 1.30 min, depending on the traffic I drive an air-conditioned, comfortable sedan car.
