Brugge combines history, culture, natural beauty, and an almost surreal charm. It’s a city that will invite you to slow down, savor the moment, and truly immerse yourself in its beauty. Brugge’s architecture and historic sights are a direct reflection of its key role in the founding and development of the County of Flanders. The city’s buildings—ranging from churches and guild halls to city gates and canals—tell the story of Brugge’s rise as a powerful trading city in the Middle Ages. If we have time left, we will drive to the close-by medieval city Damme.. Damme is a hidden gem with picturesque canals, historic architecture, windmills. good food and local beers. The ideal stop-over.

• Pick up in Brussels at your hotel, train station.. • Drive to Brugge-about 1, 5h-2 hrs drive depending of the traffic • Walking tour in Brugge (canal ride can be added) • If time left, we should stop over in the nearby medieval village Damme to admire the impressive windmills, and stunning countryside. • Drive back to Brussels Must see and included in our tour: • The Market square, the cradle of Flanders County • The Belfry, religious heritage • Historic churches like the Basilica of the Holy Blood with Belgian's most famous relic. • Church of our lady with the wonderful Michelangelo's Madonna • Several almshouses • The Beguinage- to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. • The Lake of Love- Mystery of the Black Swan • The Beer-wall • The city’s brewery Any other wishes/Interests? To Bruges by car. Bruges has a nice car-free center and all within walkable distance. After our visit to Brugge we will drive back to Brussels- approx 1.30 min, depending on the traffic I drive an air-conditioned, comfortable sedan car.
