Hello and welcome to Belgium! With over 400 flights in the last 25 years, I can say "I've seen something" but just seeing something is not enough. as a passionate traveler, I always looked for the added value, like the stories behind each place, the small and funny, or the tragic big pictures... Every place has a story to tell, and I love to tell them. I am married and a father of 3, an electronic engineer (to pay bills) and a tour guide (for the soul;-)), being a tour guide allows me to merge my traveling passion with the love of history, my love for beautiful Belgium, where major historical events, who shape Europe of our day took place. Together we can experience cities like Bruges & Gent, Brussels & Antwerp, trying some of Belgian culinary delights (Gufres, beer, frit, and chocolate) sold at every corner, and dive into major battlefield sites from the great wars that shape and change our world, sites like Waterloo, Ypres & Passchendaele, Bastogne & the Battle of the Bulge. Brussels the capital and the heart of Europe is a vibrant city, rich in history (some of it controversial...), culture, and culinary delights. this car & walking tour is fun, full local stories and hilarious anecdotes. This tour starts at the far-off monuments, the ones a visit in Brussels is not complete without, but located furthest away, the 2nd part of the day we have a walking tour (about 3KM) *This tour can combine with culinary stops at Brussels best tasting points. - Pickup from the agreed point in Brussels. - Drive to the Atomium, the iconic monument build for 1958 Expo. - We pass-by the Royal Palace, and continue to the Cinquantenaire park build for Belgium 50's 50th anniversary; and to the European Union district & HQ. - We then continue by car to the old town, where we walk through small cobblestone streets and wall art to the magnificent Grand Place, the iconic Manneken-Pis, - We take a lunch break in the chic Grand & Petit Sablone, - Continue to the Mont Des Arts and stroll down to the beautiful Gallery - - Saint Hubbert where everyone can find everything... - Walk through the magnificent Bourse building, to the newly opened administrative city hall and take the elevator to Europe largest rooftop, to see the city at 360° while enjoying chocolate tasting. Drop off at the agreed point in Brussels.
