Our time with Peter was great! I don't think you'll find anyone with more knowledge or better stories than Peter. The day flew by because we were enjoying ourselves so much. You always worry that a history tour will be dry or boring but Peter was not like that. He gave tons of information but we were never bored. I can't imagine a better day learning/touring the Battle of the Bulge area.

We had an absolutely amazing experience touring Ghent, the Battle of the Bulge sites, and Bruges with Peter Vansteenkiste. Peter is an exceptional guide—a true professional and an incredibly knowledgeable historian whose passion for the history of Belgium and WWII made the entire experience come alive. His depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to share the stories behind the places we visited made this so much more than a sightseeing tour. The Battle of the Bulge portion was especially meaningful and fascinating. Peter provided historical context and personal stories that gave us a much deeper appreciation for what happened there. In addition to his tremendous knowledge, Peter was personable, engaging, accommodating, and a pleasure to spend the day with. Everything was extremely well organized, yet the experience felt relaxed and personal. We cannot recommend Peter highly enough. If you are interested in history—especially WWII history—or simply want an exceptional way to experience Belgium, a tour with Peter is an absolute must. I'd give this tour 10 stars if I could. We have used ToursByLocals many times as well as Viator numerous times, and Peter is the most prepared, personable and interesting guide we've ever had. His love of the subject matter and people shines through and we all feel like we have a new friend. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a great Battle of the Ardennes tour with Peter V. We spent extra time at sites with Peter and had great conversation. Peter’s knowledge and patience were both exceptional, since we asked many detailed questions. Peter V was great and I highly recommend him as your guide!

This tour is absolutely amazing!! Peter is a very personable tour guide and his passion for history is evident. He began the tour by sitting down with us to discussed what he had planned for the day. He had a map, a beautiful book filled with pictures of history and stories from people he has met over the years of giving tours. He was also able to tweak the tour as we went through the day according to our interests. He drove our party of four in a comfortable van. The scenery of the southern Belgium was beautiful. We had several stops in the Bastion area and also had lunch at a very nice restaurant. It is a long day but so worth every minute learning about the battle, the country and the people of that area. He picked us up and returned us to our hotel in Brussels.

We’re a family of five that homeschool our children. We booked this tour in early Jan, during the same time the battle was ongoing. Peter is arguably the most knowledgeable guide imaginable. He is an ultimate professional and very kind, engaging and patient with our kids. He has inside information you won’t get from any history book, he’s a true researcher which makes this tour an experience you will remember for life. Thank you Peter for taking care of our family.
