I'd give this tour 10 stars if I could. We have used ToursByLocals many times as well as Viator numerous times, and Peter is the most prepared, personable and interesting guide we've ever had. His love of the subject matter and people shines through and we all feel like we have a new friend. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a great Battle of the Ardennes tour with Peter V. We spent extra time at sites with Peter and had great conversation. Peter’s knowledge and patience were both exceptional, since we asked many detailed questions. Peter V was great and I highly recommend him as your guide!

This tour is absolutely amazing!! Peter is a very personable tour guide and his passion for history is evident. He began the tour by sitting down with us to discussed what he had planned for the day. He had a map, a beautiful book filled with pictures of history and stories from people he has met over the years of giving tours. He was also able to tweak the tour as we went through the day according to our interests. He drove our party of four in a comfortable van. The scenery of the southern Belgium was beautiful. We had several stops in the Bastion area and also had lunch at a very nice restaurant. It is a long day but so worth every minute learning about the battle, the country and the people of that area. He picked us up and returned us to our hotel in Brussels.

We’re a family of five that homeschool our children. We booked this tour in early Jan, during the same time the battle was ongoing. Peter is arguably the most knowledgeable guide imaginable. He is an ultimate professional and very kind, engaging and patient with our kids. He has inside information you won’t get from any history book, he’s a true researcher which makes this tour an experience you will remember for life. Thank you Peter for taking care of our family. Wow. Peter more than delivered. The entire day was full of discovery for us. To walk in my father’s footsteps during the Battle of the Bulge that frigid brutal battle was beyond our expectations. Peter knew his stuff and even included a small museum in Saint-Hubert with a focus on my father’s division - THAT was amazing and totally unexpected. It was a great, and for me, emotional day in and around Bastogne. Thank you, Peter!

His deep knowledge of the Battle of the Bulge brought history to life—he didn’t just share facts, he recreated the experience so vividly that it felt as if we were reliving the battle ourselves. He pointed out fascinating details that aren’t commonly known and took us to great spots for shopping and dining that we never would have found on our own. He was also a fantastic photographer and made sure we had wonderful pictures to remember the day.
