Overview of your Brussels tour
We walk through the most beautiful places of Brussels to discover the amazing history and the dynamic present of this city. This is a town of many faces, from his medieval origin to his role as capital of European Union. In the Grand Place we have contact with the traces of the middle ages, when the Brussels' market became an essential crossing point between Cologne (in the actual Germany) and the coast. Because of its geographical position, the town has been involved in most of the European conflicts. We can even feel the shameful bombardment of the centre in 1695, the Spanish occupation … And the colonialism period, when Brussels became a rich metropolis (with the suffering of Congolese). The tour is also plenty of funny moments. We visit the statue Everard 't Serclaes (be careful, you can find there your true love), we laugh with the legends and anecdotes about Manneken piss (the pissing boy), we discover the strange marriages in the House of Habsburg… And we enjoy a delicious chocolate tasting.

Your Brussels tour itinerary
We discover the spectacular Grand-Place, the secrets of his houses and the mystery about number 7, we walk through the medieval neighborhood and his picturesque cobbled alleys, we meet the opulent bourgeoisie of the 19th century in the Royal Galleries of St. Hubert (the first galleries covered with glass), we enjoy the amazing views of Mont des Arts (Arts hill), we pass through palaces, art-nouveau buildings, cozy squares and we visit the lovely Notre Dame du Sablon, a small but delightful Gothic church in Brussels. The walking tour includes a delicious small chocolate tasting in one of the oldest chocolate shops of Brussels. Optional, we can taste the best Brussels fries (don't say "French fries", they get angry if they hear that). As I am a certified guide of Vlanders, I can adapt the tour to your convenience. Let me know what are your interests and wills. We can also visit the cathedral, the Atomium (with the subway) or the most popular Brussels (the Marolles, the Saint-Géry island, the Marolles).
