In this tour you will discover the country of Luxembourg and the region of Wallonia, the French speaking region in the south of Belgium, famous for its beautiful landscapes. We will pass by Namur, the capital of Wallonia enjoying the famous Meuse Road, which follows one of the most important rivers in Europe. We will visit Dinant, with its lovely Collegiate, the museum of Adolphe Sax (the inventor of the saxophone), its famous bridge and its strategical importance in the World War I. We will stop for a picture at The Castle of Vêves, considered to be one of the most beautiful medieval castles in Belgium. Then a brief visit to Luxembourg American Cemetery, the rest place for 5, 074 American soldiers. Between them, the grave of General George S. Patton. And we will do a walking tour through the city of Luxembourg to enjoy the highlights and the hidden gems of this beautiful city in the heart of Western Europe.
We had a great day with Albert touring Wallonia and Luxembourg. He is knowledgeable and friendly, and he had the long day very well-planned. And in truth, there is really no other way to visit Luxembourg as a day-trip from Brussels. Thanks for adding to our expanding list of coutries we have visited :)
Had a great day with Albert visiting Luxembourg City, The American Cemetery where General Patton was buried, and Dinant. This day was full of rich WWWII history and beautiful landscapes. Albert did a great job sharing his knowledge and insights which enriched our visit and appreciation. We will not forget the sacrifices by all the men and women so we can live in freedom and peace.
Albert was fantastic! The tour was organized well from being picked up at our hotel, to all of our stops and then getting back. The pace never seemed rushed, yet we covered a lot of territory. Albert’s breath of knowledge was evident. He communicated in a friendly easy to absorb manner. My wife and I agreed that all our expectations were met and surpassed. Thank you Albert!!
