Hi, my name is Peter and I was born and raised in Flanders (fields) Belgium. I am a professional private guide and driver in Belgium since 2014 and was a NCO (1th Sgt) in the Belgian Army/Airborne and for 20 years in the Army reserve. After my active duty, I was a salesman and worked in France and Germany. I am fascinated by military history combined with my collection of military vehicles and armory. In 2014 I started guiding. Fully licensed private guide and driver, I will drive you with my personal, comfortable Mid-Bus for groups up to 15 persons ! What a fantastic day with a most knowledgeable historian! I can't recommend Peter enough- his fund of knowledge is incredible. He brought World War I alive for us in such a respectful snd in- depth way. We met people, saw sites and heard stories that we never would have discovered on our own. You can't do better than a guide like Peter!
We too the Flanders Field tour- What a great tour! Peter is very knowledgeable about all things related to both World War1 and WW2. We saw the battlefields, several cemeteries, and so very many artifacts remaining from the war, including a tank!. Peter was an excellent guide taking us all through the region, telling us stories from the war, showing us then and now photos, and introducing us to other knowledgeable people. We especially appreciated the wonderful book Peter created to remember our day.
Peter created an unforgettable experience for us in Flanders. We visited the area on Armistice Day; my husband's grandfather served in France in WW1. Peter arranged for us to participate in the Last Post Wreath Laying Ceremony during the Armistice Day Observance at Menin Gate in Ieper, an incredible experience. He also enhanced our day with a delicious lunch, a visit to the Brothers In Arms Memorial, and Pond Farm. At the end of this extraordinary day, Peter was not just our guide, he was our friend.
Peter's knowledge and passion for war history made for a very memorable and interesting tour of famous WWI historical sites. His experience as a retired military officer added unique insights to the overall tour. We would definitely use Peter again again on future tours and highly recommend him as a guide.

Highly recommend Peter for this tour, he was able to bring to life many of the players in WW1, so that you were hearing their story as you are paying respect at their resting place. Peter is very knowledgeable, making sure he addressed our interests and needs, and managed the trip logistics very well. He also provided information about the areas, like Iper, and introduced us to the locals and their food. We have done other private tours before and Peter is top notch!
