Guide #67201
Hi, I’m Mpho Molise, a passionate and friendly tour guide who turned a love for travel into a fulfilling career. I’m known for my warm smile, sense of humour, and easy-going nature, traits that make every tour feel like a journey with a good friend. I’m deeply curious about the world and love learning about new cultures, places, and people. More than anything, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, helping travelers connect with the stories, heritage, and beauty of the places we explore together. I’ve been trained through the Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation and take pride in offering well-researched, engaging, and customisable tours. I’m a confident driver and strive to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience. In some destinations, we’re joined by local guides and information officers who help add even more depth to our journey. Here are three of my favorite places I love to share with visitors: • Pretoria, Gauteng – South Africa’s administrative capital, rich with historic and cultural landmarks. From the majestic Union Buildings to significant heritage sites, this city tells a powerful story of freedom and national pride. • Johannesburg and Soweto - a story of how democracy and freedom came into existence. From the then prison cells and the Soweto uprising to now the constitutional court and free South Africa. The story of apartheid, oppression and torture, to the victory of a black child. • Sani Top via the Drakensberg – This scenic drive from Gauteng through the towering Drakensberg mountains into Lesotho offers breathtaking views and a true off-road adventure. It’s a thrilling way to witness the natural beauty of two countries in one journey. I’m also flexible and available for tours across the SADC region, including multi-day and multi-country adventures. Whether you’re dreaming of a cross-border cultural experience, nature-filled road trip, or a tailored itinerary through Southern Africa’s hidden gems, I’m here to make it happen, with thoughtful planning and personal care every step of the way. All tours are fully customizable based on your interests and travel needs. I’d be happy to answer any questions or tailor an itinerary just for you. Lets not forget that June to July is snow season in Lesotho and the very interesting time to visit as the mountains are covered in snow and the views are amazing. I also offer snow trips to Afri-ski upon request. Let’s explore together!

The tour was terrific. Mpho was personable, knowledgeable and flexible, adjusting the itinerary to meet our preferences. She had checked on conditions during the day and rerouted us to avoid a scheduled march in one area. She helped us to understand the culture of the region and elements of its history.

Thank you so much for the rating and kind word Karen, I am glad you and your partner enjoyed the experience and that you were flexible enough to some adjustments, your safety is my priority. It was a pleasure showing you around and sharing the South African culture with you. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your drip in the region.
We scheduled a tour with Mpho during our “layover” in Johannesburg. Mpho organized a lovely afternoon for us. We saw various neighborhoods in Johannesburg, went to African Art shop, enjoyed Maboneng street art, Centre for the Less Good Idea and Museum of Illusions. It was refreshing to see South African art and artists. I highly recommend Mpho.

Thank you Zoe for trusting me to be your private guide.
Mpho shephered us through our unusual 2-day itinerary. We needed transportation from Mbabane to Pretoria via the Barberton Geotrail. Mpho and her partner/driver Dennis were punctual, often early, picking us up. They were extremely flexible with our special requests such as detour to a viewpoint or a stop at a supermarket to buy snacks. We felt very safe and...
