Early morning as we embark for an interesting day ahead of us; we will explore the history, architecture, the culture and museums of the vibrant City of Gold (Johannesburg). This tour will give you an overall history about South Africa's history. We will visit various museums in Johannesburg and Soweto. I will usually theme this tour by going through the different cultures and living classes of Johannesburg and Soweto communities.
Thabang was a great guide. He had so much knowledge and was super eager to share it. He was friendly and approachable and happy to answer any of our questions. The visit to Soweto was particularly memorable as Thabang showed us his Soweto - way more than just a street! We loved it and would tour with him again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything!
Tour was good. The guide was friendly & very knowledgable. Going for a walk through the shanty town in Soweto was an experience. Overall a good & safe tour.
Our guide Thabang was spoke very well and was very knowledgeable. We felt safe at all times and learnt a lot about Soweto township. He even got a friend to take us on a short walk through the settlement to see what life was like and the practive of their philosophy of ubuntu.
Tha gang provided a great overview of Johannesburg and Soweto. I highly recommend him.

Our group of 15 had a great day out with Thabang exploring Johannesburg and Soweto. We received round trip transportation from our airport hotel in a nice, comfortable bus. The itinerary was jam packed and we really got a taste of the city with him. He arranged for us to have lunch at a local restaurant and it was an excellent experience as well. My communication with Thabang was timely and accurate - he was great to work with for customizing our tour. He shared a lot of personal knowledge and history with us throughout our day which was very interesting and much appreciated. We arrived back at our hotel with a nice overview of the city and surrounding area. I would highly recommend this tour and Thabang to other travelers who would like to know about Johannesburg and Soweto.
•Visit the Constitution Hill • Drive through Bramfontein and Newtown viewing some interesting architectural buildings. •We visit the Apartheid museum, here you will do a tour for 2 hours max and learn about the events of apartheid in South Africa. You will also have lunch at the restaurant, at your own expense before we drive to Soweto. •Drive through the FNB Stadium which hosted the 2010 Soccer World Cup Final •We then start our Soweto tour in Diepkloof as we discuss the history •Drive past Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital. • Drive past the Soweto Towers which is now the landmark of Soweto. •Then we visit one of the most prestigious street in the world Vilakazi Street; here you will get a chance to do some souvenir shopping and view the Mandela House Museum from outside. •Visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial only; were you will get an overview of the events of the Soweto Uprising. We can always customize the tour to meet your expectations.
