A wonderful tour for people who want to learn about the different cultural groups that live in South Africa at the Lesedi cultural village. You will enjoy the African local food, dance, cultures and traditional clothing. Here you can taste the mopane warms, pap, braai meet, stump and many more. This is also good for art and craft. The city tour in Johannesburg will include the beautiful street art and graffiti. With some wonderful historical sites like Constitutional hill, Mandela bridge, Newtown and Chancelor house.Maboneng the up coming rebuilt part of downtown is a vibrant area with restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Come with me and sense our culture from close, get to know our customs, look at our native dressings, hear our history, taste our food and dance our dances and I will be happy to tell you stories I know and share my living experiences, welcome to my world!
This was the most enjoyable of the tours. The interaction with the members of the village was uplifting and enlightening. Our tour guide Thabelo went above and beyond all expectations in creating a wholesome experience for all of us. We definitely would recommend this tour, along with Thabelo to all visitors of South Africa.
We messaged Thabelo before the trip to see if we could make the first tour at Lesedi Cultural Park assuming our plane landed on time. He assured us we could make the tour and was very flexible as to what we could do if our plane was delayed. The plane landed on time, Thabelo met us at the airport and we drove to Lesedi Cultural Park. Along the way, he pointed out various sights and gave us information about South Africa and Johannesburg. After finishing at Lesedi, we went to the Lion Safari Park. Thabelo was pleasant and informative and we had a great day! I would take another tour with him if I'm ever in Johannesburg again.
Excellent guide and tour! Thabelo crafted a special tour for us (family of 5) as we only had a full day to learn about Johannesburg, Soweto and visit the Lesedi Cultural Center. All of this was done in an interesting, full of energy and knowledgeable way. Highly recommend Thabelo as your guide in this part of South Africa.

Thabelo was an excellent guide for our full day tour of Johannesburg, Soweto and Lesidi Cultural Village. The tour went from 8:30a pickup to 7:30p dropoff. He was very kind and considerate and very knowledgeable about the area. He grew up in Soweto and voted in the first democratic elections in 1994, so he understands the area and its history firsthand.
Thabelo was truly fantastic. He surprised us with a stop at Liliesleaf which is not yet fully open so we had a private tour that was just incredibly moving…an experience not to be forgotten. His knowledge of both the history and current situation is very comprehensive and his ability to share is awesome. I have nothing but positives to say about our time with him and would happily book another tour with him as guide.
