Overview of your Johannesburg tour

The Cullinan Diamond mine and Pretoria city tour is a very good and educational tour. Visiting the mine gives guests the opportunity to learn about the discovery of diamonds and diamond mining across the country. The surface tour gives the guests a close look at the mine and machinery at large. This is a mine that also looks after the surrounding community of Cullinan. Pretoria is one of the 3 capital cities of the country. The city tour enables people to learn and understand the history of the Great Trek and the Anglo Boer war. There are very well established museums in the city, like the Voortrekker monument, Paul Kruger House, Melrose House, Church Square and the Union Buildings.

My hubby and I had two wonderful days with Thabelo, Day 1 was a visit to Wonder Caves & Soweto and Day 2 was to Cullinan Diamond Mine & Pretoria. Thabelo was accommodative, courteous and shared generously the culture and history of South Africa. Though the travel to Cullinan Diamond Mine took around 1 hour plus from Johannesburg (Melrose Arch), the tour was worth every moment we spent on the road. It is great for anyone who loves to enhance one’s knowledge on diamond mining and history. We strongly recommend Thabelo to anyone who wants to ensure a memorable experience in Johannesburg and its vicinity. Thabelo is very knowledgeable, and extremely up to date with current affairs. He is punctual and courteous.We went to theCullinan diamond mine , which is really a little village within a large working diamond mine Did a great walking tour through the mine. We drove onto Pretoria and we saw many historic buildings and onto the Voortrekker monument where saw an alternative side to South Africa today.It was such an interesting day .Thabelo is great guide . I would not hesitate to recommend him!Thank you!

8:30 pick up from the hotel. Please remember to bring your passport or copy of your passport. 10:00 Cullinan diamond mine tour starts. Tour takes 1 hour 30 minutes. 12:00 depart for Pretoria. Option for lunch stop. 12:45 the Union buildings. Stop for pictures 13:30 drive through the city via Church Square, Paul Kruger House, Melrose House. 15:00 Voortrekker monument. The Voortrekker monument tour takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. 17:00 drop off at the hotel.
