I have been in the wine industry either part or full-time for the last 30 years and I have been a wine specialist guide for almost 2 decades. I developed an insatiable curiosity for all the facets of the wine industry when I sat in on some of Cape Wine Academy's Diploma Level lectures. This prompted me to begin my own studies and I have been learning about wine ever since. Someone once asked me how much I know about wine, my answer remains the same today: "I know enough about wine to know that I know next to nothing. " What I do know is that I love taking people on tours through the magical vineyards in the Western Cape. There are so many to choose from and so little time… When you come on a tour with me, you will be treated to interesting out-of-the-classroom lessons and discussions which may include geography, history, science, politics, philosophy, sociology and art, not to mention an introduction to the myriad culinary delights that this part of the world has to offer! I completed the Diploma Courses with The Cape Wine Academy and have been a registered wine specialist tour guide for nearly 20 years. * I don't have any restrictions on my tours.

Highly recommend Kimmi for your next tour to the Cape Winelands. She is an excellent, extremely knowledgeable guide with an engaging personality. Her enthusiasm for her job is infectious. She was amazingly flexible in ensuring our tour was a success. We originally booked her for 6 hours. Unfortunately, our cruise ship informed us that we had to leave two hours early. ...

Kim provided an excellent tour of the Stellenbosch wine region. She is very knowledgeable and full of relevant information. She was timely in getting us picked up and communicated very well. She adapted the tour once she understood our wine preferences.

Kim is a very engaging, energetic and knowledgeable guide! She is also a wine judge, which makes her a perfect companion for any wine tasting tour. We really enjoyed our day with her and would definitely go with her again. The wildlife encounters are a great option is you haven't been on safari but might be disappointing if you have. We went to the cheetah center...

Kim D. is a fantastic local guide. She showed us the most beautiful sites around the Cape, including some great spontaneous stops at a lively local market and an ostrich farm. She is also a wine expert and can create a wonderful wine tasting itinerary for you. Most importantly, Kim is a warm and welcoming person who graciously answered all our questions about the area...
