Fully vaccinated (including booster) My passion for the tourism industry began more than 15 years ago, when I arranged a highly successful sight-seeing tour for several friends and family members who decided to visit and explore the natural scenic beauty and diverse culture of South Africa. I grew up in a family where a love for the outdoors was a way of life. I spent most of my career in a corporate financial environment, which has given me an immense understanding of the various industries that drive our economy in South Africa - Tourism and hospitality being one of them. During the middle of 2014, I decide to leave my successful career as a professional banker and pursue my ultimate dream of becoming an "ambassador" of our beautiful country, effectively turning my passion into a career. I must add that going back to study again was an incredibly liberating experience. I am an avid purveyor of all the unique aspects that South Africa has to offer the world from a tourism perspective. These include, but are not limited to; it's rich wildlife, unsurpassed scenic splendour, award winning wines and culinary delights - not to mention our amazing hospitality. South Africa is steeped in profound history and natural beauty. It is also a wonderful melting pot of cultural diversity, making it one of those "must see" places on anyone's travel agenda… A true "Rainbow Nation" as our beloved Nelson Mandela had wished for. As a registered tourist guide and "SA Specialist", I hope to make every visitor's experience a truly memorable and unforgettable one! I live by the simple philosophy of "Creating memorable experiences to esteemed guests all year round". My other passions include travelling to the "great outdoors", where I love to spend my leisure time with close friends and family, either camping in the mountains or soaking up the sun. I also love photography and I am a keen sailor, having achieved my Provincial colours in the sport. I support two charitable organisations, namely the National Sea Rescue institute and "Tears". (The Emma Animal Rescue Society) My other hobbies include travel, reading and historical research. Today, my sole "mission" and passion is to show off what Cape Town and South Africa have to offer as a premium travel destination. Cape Town is regarded as one of the best "value for money" destinations in the world, due to its weak exchange rate. As a local tourist guide, let me take the hassles out of your holiday while you sit back and relax, immersing yourself in the amazing vibe that Cape Town and its surrounds has to offer. My key focus is YOU, our guest. I will tailor-make and design the perfect one day or multiple day travel plan to best suit your personal requirements and budget and will take the hassle out of you having to plan where you'd like to go, where you'd like to stay and what you'd like to experience. I look forward to welcoming you with open arms and creating the perfect and most memorable experience for you in the best City in the world! Your journey begins along the exquisite Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, along the "Golden Mile" through Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, on towards the iconic Cape of Good Hope via the scenic Chapmans Peak Drive (weather permitting) While exploring the unsurpassed natural beauty of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, you will visit Visit the iconic Cape Point Lighthouse and the most South Western tip of the African continent, the legendary Cape of Good Hope. Your journey continues towards the historic town of Simonstown, to visit our beloved and highly endangered Boulders African Penguin Colony. By now, I'm sure you would've worked up a good appetite, so we'll take a well deserved break for some lunch. Depending on your preference, we could arrange a wonderful dining experience or a lighter meal on the run. After lunch (and completely time dependent) we could visit a nearby vineyard in the historic Constantia wine region for a little sampling of the Cape's "fruit of the vine".
