Fun, passionate and genuine - that's me, your tour guide Emīls! I am a Latvian guy from a small town living in Riga since 2014. Tour guiding is not my job; it is my passion. 

As I like to say, I don't actually do "tours". Instead, I create adventures, treating each tour as a unique piece of art. 

My mission is to share the culture and history of my country in a way that connects with people, so that everyone would take home something beautiful from their trip by experiencing the "taste" of the real Latvia.`

I love telling stories, bringing people to my favourite places in Riga & Latvia and having a good laugh together.

Academic education (bachelor's degree) at Latvian Academy of Culture, study program "Intercultural communications Latvia - Nordic countries" (2012-2017). Besides the Nordic languages as the main study object, the studies focused on history of art, music, literature and philosophy.

I am not licensed to guide bigger groups inside of some historical monuments, such as Melngalvju nams or the Palace of Rundāle.

A local legend says that Riga would never be finished. . . Because once it was finished, great flood would come and engulf the city forever. So, hurry up! Come and enjoy Riga while the legend has not come true yet!

I often walk around the city, looking up in amazement (and sometimes falling flat down on my face because of not watching under my feet :( ) since Riga is full of wonders and stories hidden in the streets in Church towers and in walls and which I enjoy sharing with the visitors of my country.

From the charming Riga Old Town to the stunning Art Nouveau district, I will be happy to show you my beautiful city and introduce you to Latvian culture and history through the stories I love.
