Old Lady, Old Riga - Historical Center Walking Tour

Jelena was on time, friendly, and exceedingly knowledgeable about the area. Making sure that I got to hear not only the history but also some of the 'stories' behind the history. She also helped with some other recommendations beyond the tour, including a restaurant I was looking for.

Jelena was extremely knowledgeable. The tour included detailed information on everything we saw. Jelena also provided in detail the history of Riga and how the city started and grew over the centuries. As I am always interested in fortifications, I was pleased that Jelena described the different types that had been in use over the years from the town walls all the way through to the bastions.

I had booked this tour for an hour after our arrival as an introduction to the city and it's sights and to get our bearings. We enjoyed both the tour and the guide put us at ease and helped make the most of our short break.

Jelena was a wonderful guide. She picked us up at our hotel and gave us a very nice and thorough tour of Old Riga. You could tell she loves her city and spent a lot of time pointing out architectural and interesting historical information. She was patient, answered our questions and didn't mind walking us around in the cold and wind. I highly recommend her!
