Private Full-Day Tour from Riga: Sigulda, Turaida, Cēsis & Līgatne Soviet Bunker

We spent an excellent day visiting Sigulda and Turaida with Emils. We also visited a soviet bunker and a winery. Emils was very knowledgeable about the varied history of Latvia and he communicated it in an engaging and interesting way. We enjoyed his company and his insights into Latvian life, and we left feeling we’d had a great day. Emils’ knowledge of the English language and sense of humour both also contributed to making the day such a success. We were a family group of 4 adults.

My colleague and I spent the day with Emils venturing outside Riga. We toured medieval castles in Segulda and Cescis. The little town of Cescis is a must visit. Had the best lunch at a small locally owned bakery, toured a very old castle, and went on a beautiful short hike. Emils is so thoughtful and helpful. He answered all our questions (we asked a lot), was patient, funny, kind, and spoke perfect English. Emils also was so quick to respond and communicate via WhatsApp, making planning and coordinating so easy. Touring with Emils is not to be missed.
