Hi, my name is Agrita, welcome to Riga, my all time favourite city! I am a certified professional guide and I provide private, tailor made tours in Latvia. The driving force behind my work is the joy and pleasant surprise I see in my guests when they come to my hometown Riga and travel around Latvia. They are surprised by the splendid nature, the trees and the flowers everywhere they go. Riga is a vibrant city. It is a place where you can enjoy architecture and culture, meet the locals and try Latvian cuisine. We will visit Old Town Riga, green boulevards and parks, the Art Nouveau district, Riga's Central Market and much more. Outside the capital, combined walking and driving tours to discover in-depth stories about Riga, Jurmala, Sigulda, Kuldiga, Rundale Palace and more. If you are interested in Jewish heritage in Riga, ghost towns or Soviet era relics, I may know just the place. I am passionate about history, culture, architecture, the seaside and food. When not working, I enjoy travelling and going to music concerts. I look forward to welcoming you in Riga and perhaps I can make this place your favourite city too! Licensed Riga city guide. Licensed guide in Art Nouveau museum in Riga. Member of Association of Latvian Professional Guides. For guests from cruise ships: - unless agreed otherwise I will meet you outside the port gates.

We met Agrita at our hotel. She was a delight from the start. Very friendly and eager to share the sights of Riga with enthusiasm. The 4 hours we spent with her flew by. She was most knowledgeable and shared many personal touches. Highly recommend her for this tour!!

Great tour, great guide. Highly recommended for the first full day of your stay in Riga. Agrita is very cheerful and loves sharing the history of Riga, tips for cultural experiences from a fancy Opera to good cheap local restaurants, and the modern social and political milieu. She'll point you in the right direction whether your interests are castles and churches, art and architecture, bars and nightlife or a warm cozy bowl of solyanka :)

Tours by locals does it again.! Agrita was a fabulous tour guide. She was super informative and shared her life in Riga and gave us a real insight into the country and its history. Riga is such a beautiful city and seeing it through Agrita’s eyes made it come to life. The real bonus was making a new friend in another part of the world.

Thoroughly enjoyable guided tour with Agrita. If you’re interested in history, geography, politics and Latvian traditions and customs- Agrita will not disappoint. I found the tour highly informative and entertaining. We walked and talked all around Riga for 3 1/2 hours and time flew. A memorable day. Agrita’s English is absolutely perfect too. 😁

Firstly, we have booked several tours with this company, and all of them have been fantastic, with fabulous guides who obviously have a passion for their cities and countries. Agrita was our terrific guide during our day in Riga. We thoroughly enjoyed her insights and historical facts about Riga, as well as her knowledge of the different kinds of architecture in the city (I didn't know much about architecture before, but I found myself saying, "Oh, that's neoclassical," in the subsequent cities we visited!). This is a harder tour for younger kids (especially after having been on quite a few tours previous to this in other countries), so about halfway through, the 9-and 11-year old and their parents found a playground while we went on with the tour. We saw all the famous sights (House of the Blackheads, etc), tried Black Balsam, and learned about Flow. All in all a great adventure!

Agrita was a wonderful guide! She met us at the cruise ship and showed us all around Riga. She provided many interesting facts as she showed us the highlights of Riga. She was very friendly and kind - I'm sure you'll have a great experience if you book a tour with her.

Your Riga tour itinerary

After meeting up in Town Hall Square (or another agreed upon meeting point) we will start to explore the Old Town with its rich historical and cultural heritage. After approximately 1h 30min the route continues through a boulevard round with visits to the Opera House, the Freedom Monument and Basteja hill area. There we will take a coffee break in a local café before we continue our walk towards the Art Nouveau district. After a 15-20 minute walk through Kronvalda Park we will reach Elizabetes Street and Alberta Street to explore architecture masterpieces of Mikhail Eisenstein, as well as local architects. The tour ends in Art Nouveau district filled with locals enjoying coffee or lunch in endless number of street cafes and restaurants.
