Hi! I'm Laura and Riga is my hometown, my office and the subject of my studies. Guiding tours is the best way to share my love for my city, its people, culture, history, nature, architecture and gastronomy. I'm always learning and improving. I got a bachelor's and master's degree in history of art and culture but I'm continuing to specialise in architecture and restoration. The best thing about my job is meeting you - people from all around the world. I love to see my country from the point of view of my clients while I share my knowledge about Riga and Latvia. Latvia is a small country but is has so much to offer! We have spectacular architecture, green parks, and flourishing cultural life. There are picturesque forests, refreshing lakes, and a breathtaking 500 km long coastline with white-sand beaches and tiny fishing villages. The tours I've listed is just a glimpse into the experiences that you can get in Riga and Latvia. Feel free to contact me to customise a tour for you. I look forward to meeting you in Riga! All the best, Laura Licensed Riga guide Bachelor's and Master's degree in Art History, working on the PhD now Specialising in architecture and heritage protection (6 months internship in the UNESCO Office of Florence, 12 months internship in a restoration workshop) Owner of a tourism agency in Riga, operating in all three Baltic States Driving license

Riga is much more than a place full of sights; it is also a city that is full of life, joy and music. Together with me you will not just see the streets of our precious Riga and hear its stories. You will also find out how people used to live and how Latvians live today. Take the four-hour walking tour and visit the magical Old Riga, the lively Central Market and the Art Nouveau district.
Guide explaining the culture and history
Laura was a wonderful, thoughtful, knowledgeable guide. She spoke excellent English and did a wonderful job introducing us to Riga. She was friendly and taught us a lot about the history and life of Latvians. I would highly recommend her.
This was our second tour with Laura and just like the first one was amazing. We had a lovely day and the hike through the bogs at the national park was truly special. We have visited many countries and done many tours and we all agree this one ranks near the very top. It was a great introduction to the beautiful countryside of Latvia.
Laura was a terrific guide. Her tour was the perfect blend of information to give us a great overview of the architecture and culture of Riga. She was also very accommodating to our family as one of us has mobility issues. We have had many tour guides over the years and she is definitely one of our favorites. I would not hesitate to recommend her to friends and family.
Laura was a terrific guide who was very knowledgeable about Riga and its history, architecture, and willingly shared her personal experience growing up in Riga while under Soviet control. She was accommodating to our needs and made our time in Riga a magical experience. We will certainly add Riga to our "return" list as we only had a short time as a cruise stop. We highly recommend Laura as she will bring the city "alive" during your visit!
We had an incredible day with Laura as we visited Riga for the first time. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate however Laura was able to navigate us through the raindrops and guide us through all of the highlights regardless of the weather. She arranged for a lovely lunch in a local restaurant. We would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for an exemplary guide in Riga.
I'll meet you at the cruise ship terminal, your hotel or any other place in Riga that is convenient for you. We start the tour in old town, see the House of Blackheads, St. Peter's church, the Riga Dome, the Three Brothers and much more. I'll tell you about the history and development of Riga, show you the nicest buildings of Gothic, Baroque, Classicism and Art Nouveau. Then we head to the Central Market which bustles with life and colours and which is an amazing masterpiece of architecture. After that we take the tram to the elegant Art Nouveau district to see the nicest buildings of this style and to find out how people of Riga lived during the Belle Epoque. Please be prepared and dress accordingly to the season. Latvian spring and summer is usually warm and sunny but starting from September it gets colder. Winter can be really chilly.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
