I am specializing in private tours for individuals and small groups in Riga and Latvia. Key of my tours is the small groups where we can personalize, adjust your every wish. In large groups it is not possible. My aim is that you leave Riga or Latvia satisfied, excited and fully understanding it regardless was it 3 hour tour or 2 days. I describe myself as an erudite and open-minded person. I love my family, history, innovation, science, financial markets, politics, sports, art, traveling and a lot more. I love to share my opinion about life in Latvia, Riga because only from locals you can get the best point of view! Currently, I am living in Riga but have been born in the countryside (150 km from capital) and visited a lot of countries around Europe. I am half-blooded- father Moldovian, mother Latvian from eastern Latvia that has their own dialect, language. I would say that I have experienced and still living in a colorful life where east meets west and the future meets the past. I am flexible and opened for different tours according to my guest's wishes. As an example- Riga running tour, beer tour. Usually if the group is between ( 1-3 people) I offer tours by car. If you are more in the group, it is also possible to organize a minivan. Bachelor degree in business management. Riga guide's license. Driving license. I am not allowed to drive in territory of the port that is the reason why I am meeting you or at exit gate or waiting room.

After the tour, you will be able to understand Latvia and Riga fully.
Aurels was a pleasure to tour with. He provided a solid overview of all that we wanted to see and learn about Riga in general and about Jewish history there, more specifically. He is deeply engaging, and provides lots of personal perspectives which made the tour both enjoyable and informative.
Aurels did a terrific job driving us all around Riga. We finished with a walking tour of the old town. We recommend him!
Aurels was a great guide! He was friendly and knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Riga, and Latvia, it's history and it's people. He was responsive to my requests and fit in everything I wanted to do and see. Just a really, really nice guy! I did two tours over two days with him and he was a pleasant and easy-going companion for the weekend! I highly recommend Aurels if you are going to Riga!
Aurels gave an excellent tour of the city - I'm now well oriented to Riga's primary attractions (I have musuems to visit while in town) and have a sense of Latvian history, which I did not have before. I would highly recommend Aurels!
Aurels is a very accommodating and personable guide. We enjoyed seeing key sites around the city. Even more we do enjoyed talking to him about life, culture, attitudes, and social conflict during these challenging times. While we were in town only briefly, we leave feeling much more knowledgeable and appreciative of the country rising after decades of Soviet dominance. If Aurels represents the future, this small country is in good hands. Highly recommend his tours.
A really fascinating tour with a lot of interesting information, we really enjoyed it to see more than the old town of Riga.
Before the tour I ask about interests and wishes that we include in tailor made tour that suits to you the most (shops, sights, natural site, monument, restaurant). Private tour gives opportunities to stop where ever you wish to know or explore more. It takes 30 km around the town in a car. Tour time 4 hours in description is average as it can be longer, take your time— I’m not in a rush.. Some spots- Alberta street with its Art Nouveau, Monument of Freedom, Central market, important wooden, Soviet buildings, Jewish Ghetto, Eastern European suburb, VEF factory, its concert hall, former KGB headquarter, wooden church from 1819. . Left coast of Riga with small wooden houses, controversial Victory park, old train station with train vagon in wich people were sent to Syberia and many more. . .
