Hello, my name is Yevgen. I was born in Kyiv (Ukraine), and when I was 20 I moved to Rome where I have been living for half of my life. Here, I finished high school, graduated in History of Art, and became a licensed tour guide. During my university years, I had an internship at the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, the most important archaeological sites of Rome, where I became familiar with the archaeology and the extraordinary ancient heritage of Rome. I was also selected to be a guide in the Palace of the President of Italy, the highest office of the Italian Republic, where the President works and meets official delegations, and where I got a solid background in the history of Italy and its institutions. After many years of passionate study of Italian history, archaeology, and art history, I will be happy to share with you all my knowledge and love for the Eternal City. I can organize tours to ancient sites of Rome, such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill; help you better understand the masterpieces in the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica; take you to the Old Jewish Quarter where you'd discover the ancient story of the Roman Jewish community and all adversity it had to endure in the past centuries; guide you through the streets of Rome, showing both the most renowned places of the city and its hidden gems, loved by the Romans. I can also arrange tours outside of Rome to explore the architectural wonders of Emperor Hadrian's Villa and walk through the lush Renaissance gardens with fountains of Villa d'Este, both World Heritage Sites located in Tivoli (1-hour drive from Rome). During my tours I'll also recommend excellent restaurants, where you can enjoy some authentic Roman and Italian food, and the best places to taste Italian gelato.
