Guide #64329
Welcome to my home town! In Rome, art and beauty are combined with a genuine love of the pleasures of life. As an art historian, I would like to show you the uniqueness of my home city from my point of view. Goethe wrote: "I was born a second time, I was truly resurrected, the day I set foot in Rome". I too, feel like I have finally found myself in this city. And if you allow this place to enter under your skin, you'll also be transformed and you'll never look at the world with the same eyes ever again. Rome is a mirror to better understand ourselves and the world we live in, if we know how to look at it. I have lived in several countries, learning a couple of languages in the process. I have come in touch with different ways of life and I have performed many disparate jobs, some more satisfactory then others. I have been a teacher, a seller, an interpreter. I have worked in museums, art galleries, newspapers and even in an auction house. Never to settle. Never to hear "the call". Always feeling that something was missing. Then, in 2013, I moved to Rome and finally all of my life started to make sense. All of the different jobs, the divergent experiences, the assorted knowledge. . . it all came together as if I was preparing for this place and for this job since forever. I have a very unique point of view that I've been sharing with travelers from all over the word since 2015. I tell the tale of this city, a tale so universal, compelling, adventurous, that it has enchanted visitors and travelers for over two thousand years. A tale told by every stone of this city. It doesn't matter the starting point, this is a journey that we'll take you through legendary archeological sites, breathtaking museums, golden churches, outstanding fountains and ancient obelisks. An adventure that will lead your steps above mythical roads, holy castles, opulent palaces. . . All is a part of the bigger tale called Rome. And we, as well, are part of it and we all have our role to play. We can discover Rome together, at your pace and following your passions and interests. All of my tours can be modified and tailored to your very need.
