I'm a licensed English speaking Israeli tour guide and former architect registered with the Ministry of Tourism. My tours illuminate the HISTORY of the land from biblical times to the present by focusing on ARCHAEOLOGICAL remains & the diverse ARCHITECTURAL styles adopted by former and present day occupants. Tours can also include GEOLOGICAL phenomena such as the Dead Sea as well as AGRICULTURAL sites like the date plantations of the Jordan valley. In addition, I offer tours of LESSER KNOWN SITES of which there is an abundance throughout Israel as well as TOURS FOR THE ELDERLY who enjoy walking, but at a slower pace. I offer a FREE SERVICE in the designing of tour itineraries and I favour going to restaurants and markets frequented by locals and avoid shopping malls except for the Mamilla mall in Jerusalem which has an extensive history. All Tours are of one day duration but can be joined together to form an extended tour. On a personal note : I try to achieve an "informal atmosphere", hence all tours are restricted to SMALL GROUPS or INDIVIDUALS which facilitate discussion between participants. Masters Degree in Architecture - University of the Witwatersrand - South Africa. Completed the 2 year Tour Guide Course at the Lander Academic Institute - Jerusalem (2010). Licensed Tour guide registered with the Ministry of Tourism - Israel. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

We used Ron's services for three days, including this Galilee tour. He adapted the tour so that we enjoyed highlights of both Christianity and Judaism. Ron is considerate, knowledgeable, and informative. We liked that Ron did not do the driving, but provided the driver at extra cost, paid directly to the driver. Our group of 5 enjoyed our full day tour of Caesarea and Megiddo with Ron and driver, Shviki. The two sites could not be more different. Caesarea is vast but coherent, featuring many intact structures built during the Roman era by Herod the Great. What. A. Trip!!! We have spent the entire day with Ron having time of our lives in North Israel. Ron has a very sober view on the history, he is very flexible (we adjusted the route thrice...), took us to the best food places and we had some really good convos about demography, finance, peace, god and hummus. As a Christian, I cannot begin to tell you how upsetting this tour was. Ron prefaced EVERY description with, "According to the Christian narrative…". In other words, according to a made up story… It was so offensive. Ron sent us into several churches without him. (I thought this was a tour!)
