As a tour guide licensed by the Israeli ministry of tourism I get to indulge my enthusiasm and passion for the Land of Israel, and I'd like to share that passion with you. Originally from the United States, I've lived most of my adult life in Israel - this is my home; I'm proud of it and I'd like to show it to you. My previous career - 20 years as a police officer in the investigations branch has given me a unique understanding and insight into Israeli life. Let me help you create a visit which will be truly memorable, something suited to your personal interests, pace and style. See and feel how the Bible is woven into the history, culture, peoples and religions of Israel, both ancient and modern. Walk where the Israelite patriarchs, kings and common folk walked, or gain a singular understanding of Israeli military history. See a stunning desert sunset, travel the Galilee or sample the excitement of Tel-Aviv, have lunch with Jewish family in Jerusalem or a Druze family on the Golan Heights - the possibilities are endless. Of course you are on vacation, so just plain fun won't be neglected. You can get in water sports, camping, food and wine, or spend some time lazing on a Dead Sea beach. So get in touch - a great tour is waiting for you - Israel Ministry of Tourism, guide license no. 10966. BA International Relations, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 2nd Temple-era Jerusalem, City of David Institute.

Jerusalem is golden, and it's where it all started. Abraham was there on Mount Moriah with Isaac over 3500 years ago, David fought the Jebusites, composed the psalms and founded a kingdom. Jesus preached, lived and was crucified there, and the rulers of Islam have left their own indelible mark on the city. Probably the most dynamic, mysterious and holy city in the world, Jerusalem is an experience unto itself. The tour begins with a bird's eye view of the city from the Mount of Olives - the site is one of my favorites and it will enable you to connect to historic Jerusalem on a very personal level. We continues with a visit to the Muslim and Christian quarters. Lunch in the friendly atmosphere of the Jewish quarter, where you'll see some of the city's most famous synagogues, the "Burnt House" with its mute testimony to the terrible events from the destruction of the temple, and the Western "wailing" wall. Walk the ramparts of the old city - you will feel the magnetism, you will feel connected.
- The day starts with an overview of the city and the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives observation point. - We then enter the Old City on foot through the Jaffa gate, tour through the Arab market, to the Christian quarter. - From there through the Moslem quarter to the Roman Cardo and the Jewish quarter, including the Wailing Wall plaza. - Lunch will be in a local restaurant. - After lunch, a visit to the archaeological park or Mount Zion with King David's grave and the room of the last supper. - Time permitting, after Mount Zion we'll walk part of the ramparts of the city wall, returning to the Zion gate by way of the Armenian quarter. I can create a customized tour for you if you are more than 4 people, would like this tour to start in another location, or if you have any special requests for the itinerary.
