Hello, مرحبا, שלום, Привіт, Привет My name is Khalil people also call me Charlie, I was born and raised in the city of Jerusalem, touring the holy land is an awesome experience especially if its with me, you will feel my passion to the country and to my lovely city when you hear me talking and explaining about it. I have a BA degree in international business and finance and a Master degree in philology but most of my time im guiding walking around and explaining to tourists the history of my city and showing them how we live makes me happier than any other things I can provide biblical tours, modern tours, fun tours, hiking tours and so on. Other than giving information and explaining the history of sites my job is to make tourists feel that this country became their second home and make sure that you will come back for another visit. I offer night tours in the old city of Jerusalem, city center, main market (tourists wont regret visiting it). I'm ready to visit the west bank (Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jericho and Nablus) if needed. Our tour will start with 2 days in jerusalem where we will walk in the old city of Jerusalem, visit the 4 quarters, walk the Via Dolorosa, visit the main sites in the old city of Jerusalem, the next day we will start with an amazing view from the mount of olives where we will talk about the importance of the mountain for the 3 abrahamic religions, we will head then to the Israel museum where we will talk about different periods and then proceed to Ein kerem the birth place of John the baptist, Bethlehem can be add to the itinerary. 3rd day - Judean desert including Jericho, Bethany, Qumran and the baptismal site Please NOTE: the tour finishes between 2 and 3pm in case you want to visit the Temple Mount/Dome of the rock then we have to start one day at 7am or 7:30 Pickup from Jerusalem
Charlie was a 10 out of 5! He is multilingual, was very conscious of our safety and security. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable from both a historical and Biblical perspective, flexible in terms of both time and itinerary. He recommended places to shop, eat, and explore that were excellent. His service FAR exceeded my expectations and I would recommend him to anyone traveling to Jerusalem!
Charlie D knows the people and Jerusalem well, somehow, he was able to avoid the traffic. He even rearranged our itineraries. He was able to guide and arranged so that we beat the crowd. He even took us to visit two extra locations that were not on the original itinerary: Emmaus and Monastery Saint Gerassimos, to see a unique painting of Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus. We also like Joseph, the driver very much and arranged for him to pick us at 4am to take us to the airport.
We were delighted with our choice of Charlie for a 3 day tour of the Holy Land, in fact, it's fair to say he was one of the best guides we have had in many years of touring. Highly impressed with his knowledge of the history, culture and complexity of the issues within Israeli society. Very punctual and flexible with the programme allowing us to decide what we wanted to do but guiding us in such a way as to avoid the long queues at the more popular sites. Highly recommended and would certainly use again.
Charlie was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable, kind, funny, patient, adn attentive to all of our needs. My wife and I had our 12 & 13yr old daughter and son with us - and Charlie was very accommodating and kept the kids interested with so many stories. Highly recommend Charlie.
What an extraordinary three days I had with Charlie ! I had an unforgettable experience guided by his deep knowledge, patience, assistance interacting with the locals, flexibility,allowance for my personal reflection and very importantly his use of local contacts to enhance visits. Through Charlie's informative and descriptive narrative my 3 days with him brought history alive. His very pleasant disposition made my days relaxed and enjoyable. I appreciated his tips and guidance, being a solo traveler and his Driving was smooth and car very comfortable. I highly recommend this delightful, intelligent guide. I learned a lot from him.
