This tour covers the historical, cultural and religious aspects of the Jewish quarter and the first Jewish neighborhood outside the walls of the old city of Jerusalem. In this tour we will visit: David's tomb, The Four Sephardi synagogues, Batei Mahase quarter (the history of the Jewish defenders against the invasion of the Arab Legion during the war of independence), The Hurva Synagogue, The remains of the great wall built by King Hezekiah, Western Wall, The small wailing wall, lookouts. Adiel was charming and thoroughly knowledgeable. He set a pace that was reasonable and filled our time with the history and beauty of the old city and Jewish Quarter as we asked. Our time at the Wall was emotional as it had been decades earlier, made special by Adiel's insights and warmth. A very special guide for a very special city.
Adiel did a wonderful job. He took us on a whirlwind tour of the old city of Jerusalem and took the time to explain the history and importance of various sites. Adiel showed us many us the typical points of interest but also worked in some parts we had no knowledge about. Adiel also seems to know about many great spots to get unique views and perspectives of the city and it's history.
Adiel came up with an amazing custom tour geared exactly to my mom's interests. The pace was great and the tour was excellent. We both enjoyed our visit very much to the Old City and we both learned some amazing things about this place. My mom thoroughly enjoyed our tour and Adiel was a patient and knowledgable guide. Adiel is an exceptional guide. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he is very sensitive to the needs of travelers. My wife and I are older people and Adiel was very patient guiding us through some physically challenging spots. Highly recommend him.
This was our second tour with Adiel in three days. He is such a great guide. His knowledge of everything is stupendous, and he is so friendly. We wish we could do more with him on our trip, but we will definitely request Adiel the next time we are in Israel!
